Its probably best for all customers to speak directly to dealers with the issues before venting fustrations on the internet... Bad practice all round.

    Good metal worker in london?

Never short of Fabricators in Birmingham. But then the city is quite industrial and fully of working class brummies that are happy to get a Ham sandwich for and a pint. I really hope you do get this sorted Cwah. Your poor posts are nothing but a struggle from one problem to the next. It was...

    Good metal worker in london?

The crossmember needs cutting. It won't bend outwards without it. To be honest if I had this problem and really wanted the rear motor I'd really look at cutting the entire drop out off and fitting a complete thicker widened one instead of bending the frame. As the bikes steel it should be...

    BionX. It had to happen!

There direct drive thought so for any given wattage results in lower torque. Still I'm sure its quality makes up for it. I'd only ever be interested in the motor but its a better deal for what is generally a very expensive kit.

    Temporary removal of threads

If it was my forum and I was the person at risk I'd remove it fast. I wouldnt even bother to give you all answers to as why as I would feel I wouldnt need to explain the reason. Its in the T&C's.

Battery Life: 23 charges of my Kalkhoff 18Ah suggest a live of 5+ years

This is my point. Ive you buy a big enough battery with say an addtional 20 - 30% capacity in whats actually needed could you not just keep using the same battery for much longer anyway. I have some Nicad / Ni-mh cells in telxon scanners for our stocktakes. Its apaarent there pretty useless...

Battery Life: 23 charges of my Kalkhoff 18Ah suggest a live of 5+ years

Here's a quick question which Flecc or 10mph maybe able to answer. Once the so called 80% capacity is hit after say a 2 year cycle life. The battery must surely still work. However does it just loose its capacity. Or does the load / voltage sag render the battery pretty useless in an Ebike...

Battery Life: 23 charges of my Kalkhoff 18Ah suggest a live of 5+ years

Excellent Post and I love a good graph. Useful information and what is the cell type in the Kalkhoff 18ah battery that you are describing? 5 years is then not a bad amount of time to have for the cost. I still think you need to do more cycles to really take advantage of the cycle life /...

    Brake disc upgrade.

Got my 4 sets of sintered pads. Fast delivery and much cheaper than evans cycles where one set cost £10. Not sure I'm full on board with the sintered. They grip well in both wet and dry situations but are not as powerful as the organic standard sets. They also don't seem to come alive until...

    Is it Possible.....#2

Does sound like a fault with the battery. Usually getting a battery of any kind to read a voltage is simple. But usually when you apply load is the give away.

    Unlimited Budget?

Not sure if I would want an electric off road bike though. I don't quite get it unless its to make life easier getting back up the hill or to go a bit further. If I'm doing off road riding then theres a good chance its for leisure. Which means I wouldnt be in a hurry like I am on my commuting...

    Bothered?

Usually own brands are actually made by a different company and then re-badged. Theres alot of brands that are actually the internatls of other makes like samsung etc... but then badged up and sold at a lower price. This way it doesn't affect the brand while offering a cheaper price point. I...
