Well, I took the on/off switch out and saw there were only 2 wires connected to the block, although 3 goto the controller. Cut the 2 wires and connected directly together ignoring switch. Works fine.

The Throttle on a Freego bike has stopped working. This is the 2nd. in 2.1/2 years. Our local Freego stockists is no more. Think the Red on\off switch is the problem. If I wired the 2 wires under the switch together would this work? If I did it in situ would it damage anything?

Yes, same battery case anyway. Had it out for short spins with a few hills and seems normal. Will go further when we get some decent weather. Thanks to you all for the help and advice.

Strange, battery came back and all the lights lit up showing it was full. Took it out for a spin and no problems! Didn't go far but after 5 short trips up a small hill, still going. Charges up Ok.

Maybe, but I was under the impression that Batteries were repairable especially a Brand like Freego.
