    Big girl's blouse alert.

Possibly not common on a forum like this, But I'm a car nut (and VERY much a Geek!) and have a 1929 Ford Model A. So, I travel by both: Cause and Solution  According to local weirdos though, we ride cycles, because we can't afford cars....

    Where Do You Live V2.0

I'm remarkably close to this local landmark / attraction: http://goo.gl/maps/GydC0 Abbey Caves, Whangarei New Zealand. There's some good hills there (follow the road West (right on that map) - it's the way to town). And a UFO http://goo.gl/maps/IMj48

    Which are you?

I once nearly hit a runner, running on the inside of a sharp corner on a winding, bushclad, country road (60 mph zone), wearing all black with a single vertical reflective stripe... Looked EXACTLY like the road and the inner paint line to me. ONLY reason I saw her, was because she jumped into...

4th London Cyclist killed in 8 days

as above, the driver wasn't intending to turn, and was within their own lane - the bus was in the next lane - nobody would expect another vehicle to be between their car and the bus beside them. The Cyclist had been passing on the left of the car AND the right of the bus, where he shouldn't have...

4th London Cyclist killed in 8 days

Guys like that are why people think so little of cyclists. I stick to my lanes, obey the rules and lights, just like I would when driving. Drivers seem to respect that and give me my space. I stay out of their way where I can, and will try to let cars past me, before moving out for parked cars...

    New Charger Required

I see you are sorted already, but I just thought I'd say that buying to a local source is probably a good idea! I've purchased 3 chargers of differeing types off ebay. 2 for SLA's and one for lifepo4. ALL 3 have had some used componentry inside (glue on components that wasn't elswewhere...

    Li battery cutting out

I've left the battery charged, but disconnected for 24 hours now, and it's sitting at 42.2V today (lifepo4). I had ridden it switched off, and the drag was minimal. To be fair though, it was just near the house, and it wasn't after riding most of the way home, so it's not a very good comparison...

My lunchbox is a 2L box full of salad - it can be damp. Plus fruit and goodies. I haven't been to the UK, but my wife worked there for a few years (she's a Midwife and did maternity nursing for Ewan McGregor and his wife, Eve). She's been a few times, and even lived some of her school years in...

    Li battery cutting out

Not sure if I should move this to a new thread now, or continue here? Maybe a Mod can move it if it should be separate (sorry!) Anyway, Thanks! I have ordered one of those cheap meters. It'll take a while to get here, and locally they only have stupidly expensive ones! I would like a cycle...

Paihia ;) Very nice! No way a Jafa - lived there for 2 years... WAY too long! Apparently the swear filter filtered that... this might be stupid, but...... I can't work out what the stars should be! Yep... lots of hills! My wifes cousin came over from Northern Ireland, and was actually...

    Li battery cutting out

Thread Resurrection! I've recently had a VERY similar problem! So I thought I'd add it here, as it's in a similar vein, and may help in the future... (sounds like I may need a new controller though) I haven't paid much attention to the details yet... because the sudden loss of power always...

Yeah, It's a bit top heavy - I have the topbox for lunch and clothes mostly. Whangarei is NZ's northern most "city" 2/3rds of the way North from Auckland on the way to the Bay of Islands.

Hello, My Name is Allan and I've been lurking for a few months, but not posted yet. I'm based in Whangarei, New Zealand. I brought a rear wheel conversion kit from Vpower.hk, and a Goldenmotor LiFePo4 36V 12 AH battery. They're fitted to an old school Diamondback steel framed mountain...
