    Spoke adjustment

I have a random clicking coming from the rear of my Proconnect. I've checked but can't find anything obvious. I read up on spoke problems and had a 'ping' of the wheel spokes (24 spoke). Half the rear wheel spokes gave a dull noise and not a musical type note. The front was OK. The bike is now...

    Vibrating mirrors.

I use a Cateye mirror and I don't have any vibration problem but it swivels far to easily, even in a strong wind. Has anyone got any ideas as to how to make it stay put as I don't like adjusting it while I am riding?

    Motorist apology

I couldn't ride now without the Cateye mirror to see what's going on behind.

    Proconnect chain

I've fitted the new sprockets, chain wheel and chain which I got from 50C but there is rattling noise from the chain area so I am wondering if the chain is incorrect. There is no noise when it is up on the bike stand but it is very obvious when riding and especially louder when pressing down on...

    Motorist apology

This has happened to me on a number of occasions. I fitted a Airzound Air Horn and the next time someone did this I had time to hit the horn. He must have thought it was a car because he nearly went off the road with the shock.

    Motorist apology

Maybe she thought I had money when she saw I was riding an expensive ProConnect!

    Motorist apology

I was cycling in to work this morning along a very quiet road and approaching a side road and noticed a silver BMW coming along it. It didn't slow and came straight out and did a left turn. I had been anticipating this (as you do) and I didn't even need to bother braking so no problem just...

    Rido R2 help...

I tried several different saddles and then a Rido R2. I am still using it but it took months to really get used to it. Where it works is that your actual bum bones are supported but it never really feels 'comfortable'

2 Year, 8000 mile Review of Kalkhoff Pro-Connect

After fitting the new chain and sprockets I still have noise when pedalling especially on the left pedal. I noticed that the new chain-sprocket (pedal end) has radiused teeth whereas the original has sharp pointed teeth. Can someone tell me which is correct?

    Kalkhoff Connect - first puncture

I sent this to 50Cycles but still they haven't even had the courtesy to acknowledge the email never mind answer it;- 19 Jul (8 days ago) "I received my order and have fitted all the parts, but I noticed a big difference between the old large drive sprocket teeth (pedal end) and the new one...

    Decision Time

I've cycled past kids when out on my Proconnect and heard them say "that's an electric bike" so I think they are aware of them and some do think they are 'cool' The problem for the younger generation getting an ebike is the high price otherwise there would be more using them!

    Saddles + soreness.

Yes, I found this out when I first used one of these saddles. I looked over my shoulder and almost lost control. I eventually got used to it though. I have ended up using a Rido.

2 Year, 8000 mile Review of Kalkhoff Pro-Connect

I have now completed just over 6000 miles on my two year ProConnect and had a lot of noise fron the pedal area. I read everything on this thread and found loads of helpful information which was invaluable in changing the chain and cogs. Because of lack of time I replaced the chain wheel and...

Wiggle. Here today and gone tomorrow?

I have used Wiggle for six years and have found them to be excellent, certainly with regard to bike accessories. I have recently had to return a Cateye rear light because the rubber button was coming out. They replaced it and also returned the postage quickly without any problems. The...

    Kalkhoff Agattu or Pro Connect

Yes, my Lafree has front suspension which I really missed when going to the ProConnect. Step thru is better like you say when getting on and off regularly.

    Kalkhoff Agattu or Pro Connect

My Pro Connect replaced my Giant Lafree Comfort step thru almost two years ago. The choice does come down to comfort as far as I am concerned. I don't have the PC with front suspension which is unpleasant and I had to add a suspension seat post. The arms get a hammering on the poor roads. The...

    Ash !

I noticed the plastic over the jet engines when it was on the news tonight. If it is to become that much of a problem they will have to sweep it up off the ground as well surely before the planes take-off again. At what stage will we have to put a plastic bag over our heads? :D

    Ash !

The cloud is at 20,000 ft so why can't they fly below it just like these helicopters, especially the prop planes which fly lower than jets?
