going over the 15.5 cut off point

That seems strange...I adjusted the calibration on my speedo to match the trip distances on the Strava app. The Bosch Motor gently reduces the assist on my Motus Grand Tour from 15.5mph to 16.5mph. I was going to ask if you were set to KPH, but thought better of it. How do you know your speedo...

Advice for a true 'Gentlemans' e-bike...

The Active Line Plus gives me all the power I need, I am nearly always on Tour (2nd) mode and only select sport or even Turbo on the nasty hills. It all depends where you are cycling, go for a few rides on different bikes and see for yourself if the Active Line gives you enough oomph. My Raleigh...

Advice for a true 'Gentlemans' e-bike...

I have a Raleigh Motus Grand Tour equipped with Bosch Activeline Plus motor. I love it and I think it has pretty well all the attributes you seek. Easily within your budget at £2,150 and available both as crossbar and step through. Was going for crossbar, but the chap at the shop pursuaded me...

Raleigh Motus Grand Tour V Gazelle Ultimate T10

This sounds very strange, if your bike is unfit for the purpose for which it is sold, you should easily get your money back. You would not have spent over £2000 for it to rust away. I love my Motus Grand Tour which now has over 400 fault free miles. One of my customers has completed over 3000s...

    Raleigh Motus help please

I have the step through Grand Tour. I love it and certainly have no issues with choosing the derailleur option over the hub gears. If you can push your budget the extra £300 for the grand tour then you get the Active Line Plus which is virtually silent in operation as I guess is the new Active...

going over the 15.5 cut off point

Hello! I only cycle on footpaths and roads with my Motus Grand Tour. On the flat with no wind I am usually running at 16 to 18mph, with a little wind behind me I can be cruising at 20. When there's a strong headwind I can forget going above the 15.5mph! Now this may make me look like superman...

Hello from a new E Bike owner!

It goes to show that the chap at the bike shop gave me good advice. I really did not want to go down the online route as decent personal service is invaluable IMHO.

Hello from a new E Bike owner!

I told mine that it was way better value than her under used gym membership. I was a fair distance away from her when I said that though!

Hello from a new E Bike owner!

Hello! The crossbar version certainly looks nicer to my eye, still waiting for someone to take the **** out of me for riding a ladies bike, but it hasn't happened...yet.

Hello from a new E Bike owner!

Thank you! I am loving the bike, and the exercise! Not having to fill the car up for ages is also a bonus.

Raleigh Motus Grand Tour Hub Gears

Hello, also just joined up. I have just bought (a month ago) a step through, derailleur version of the Motus Grand Tour. Now completed 200 miles. I don't bother with locking out the fork and I can certainly put your mind at rest regarding the battery. I easily get 50 miles in Tour mode and...

Hello from a new E Bike owner!

Hi, I bought my first pedelec this time last month and love it. I am 48 years old, but plagued by back problems and arthritis (hip replacement six years ago). My last bike was a Specialized Sirrus Elite hybrid which I enjoyed, but my body did not. It was ending up in the garage and not being...
