I would like to know exactly what some people on here call hills. Where I live, as a teenager, I was standing on the pedal of my old bike on a HILL. The bike was in bottom gear of my Sturmey Archer 3 speed. The bike remained stationary. That's what I call a hill. Everything else is just a slope.

Seriously, there seem to be lot of things broken in this country and people are only slowly becoming aware of it. What the future holds I don't know, but I fear.

I think that we ought to keep very quiet, certainly until there are a huge number of ecyclists and therefore safety in numbers. You all know just how prudish and weird the UK government of any colour can be, and it would not take long before restrictions, licences and taxes would be imposed.

We used to enjoy these petrol bikes a lot, but memory dims, I had forgotten just how noisy they were.

Frankly, I wouldn't touch a bike without a charger. Too obvious that its been stolen and the thief is afraid to buy another charger through legitimate channels. Tell the guy to get another charger himself, without the charger the bike is zero value.

Plausible, but not persuasive. There are dozens of saddles for sale on ebay, Does this mean that there are dozens of cyclists keen enough to buy a Brooks, change it for their existing saddle and now want a new bike? So, do they sell the bike with its old saddle and then sell the Brooks...

Now I wonder just why are so many people selling their Brooks saddles?

Surely that is a schrader valve? Have you tried screwing the core back in?
