Remember I am UK based so NO US makes or outlets please

So after I skidded and fell off on a very loose surface (on my mid drive E- MTB) I changed my (rather worn) tyres to Nobby Nics Evolution, Super Ground casing and Speed Grip compound. Seem very good for mostly off road cross country and trails and ok on tarmacced roads. I have ridden the same...

Looking for affordable commute hybride ebike

I have both - hub drive (bafang g020) and bafang bbs - ultimately the bbs is more capable but requires more concentration and attention to what gear I'm in and forward planning for any hills ahead but more "crunchy" gear changes changing down gears under high power (on steep hills) and to the 11...

    Knaap AMS boy fat tyre

If the connections and connector plugs from the knaap 48v controller from your accessory list fits all the electric bits on your bike (including the c961 display), wouldn't it be easier to buy that ? I would email them to check

    Knaap AMS boy fat tyre

One thing I wondered was if the 48v controller from your knaap accessory list would have all the same connection plugs to display/ pas sensor, brake sensor etc. maybe email them and ask ? Think your existing c961 display is dual voltage, hopefully that would work too If so might be worth the...

    Chain Jump

I had exactly the same ! I didn't realise it was normal with a new chain, it's all ok now. I found loosening off the 'B' screw on the rear derailleur helped (so the chain wrapped round more of the rear cog) I am going to order some hypoid 90 too, my Halfords gt85 is running out !

    Knaap AMS boy fat tyre

So the max assist speed will be set to 25 km/h as part of UK / Europe regulations. Do you know how to get into the advanced menu on the c961 display ? (Think you turn it on press and hold + and - and then press the middle button 8? times) The settings that will affect max assist speed are...

    Knaap AMS boy fat tyre

The existing (Bafang)motor will probably be ok to overvolt with 48v. Unless you are lucky , I suspect the controller will be 36v (some are dual voltage). So potentially have to change controller / LCD and then you need compatible pas sensor, brake sensors, and throttle if it has one. And a 48v...

Opinions Of Engwe engine 2 pro For 15 year old

The other point is a hub motor that can do 60 km/h won't be very efficient or powerful at speeds < 25 km/h

Help! Metroneer EG 1.0 Comp Gravel E-Bike

So people here generally get between 7 and 15 Wh/ mile so for a 365 Wh battery , so range likely 25-50 miles depending how much effort you re putting in / how hilly the route is. To my inexpert eye the bike looks fine - MicroShift R8 drivetrain and disk brakes (mind you I do ride a very old...

Help! Metroneer EG 1.0 Comp Gravel E-Bike

What do you intend to use if for ? 360Wh battery seems quite modest, but it depends on how you intend to use it - just a bit of help up hills ? I guess quite a few "dynamic" cyclists would be able to ride at > 15.5 mph (ie above the motor assist limit) on the flat under their own steam. How...

    dual voltage for more speed

If my calculations are correct : (so potentially there is quite a big difference on the max no load speed on a 48V code 12 on 26 inch wheel and 48V code 10 on 700C)
  13. P

    dual voltage for more speed

Yes, I think a code 12 motor would be more 'in the power band" up a hill than a code 10 because it has a lower max speed. Your build is 700c wheel too ? Which will make it faster no load max speed than mine (26 inch) but up a steep hill won't be as good. I don't know whether running at 36v...

Woosh BBTS 68mm kit starts shipping

OK - just been out on the bike again - done a couple of hundred miles with the new BBTS kit I was getting a bottom bracket "squeak" on each pedal revolution - it turned out I just needed to tighten the locknut on the left hand side, it had come a bit loose One thing I did today was a 'steep...

    dual voltage for more speed

Is your motor the Bafang G020 (H400b) ? I have a 48V G020 (winding code 12) on a 26 inch wheel. With a full battery, unrestricted no load speed is 28 mph. I (100kg ish ) travel round at legalish speeds and had no problem with it at lower speeds (including a 1 mile hill which has a small...

    Display

This one ? https://viviebikes.com/products/vivi-c26-step-through-commuter-electric-cruiser-bike What is wrong with the display ? What are you trying to achieve ? Usually the display is paired to the controller, so you either have to replace the display and controller together or find a...

What do you think of my new bike?

I think it does have some sort of torque multiplication algorithm, but one of the parameters on the LCD (that I haven't altered !) is pedal sensitivity - don't know what effect this has. In practice I don't really notice the assist level changing - but I suspect my version of "gentle"...
