Haibike sDuro HardSeven 2016, Front Chainring increase.

As far as I know (I have a 2x10 conversion on mine) 1. Any 104 pcd chainring will fit most brands stop at 48 2. On mine I did not need to change the chain using a 44 and I believe a 48 would still go as I also have a 40t rear gear and that is fine. Not that I would use the outer and bottom gear...

    Converting 27.5 to 26

Cringe. You got me there. Mine's a Yamaha, I usually don't post about anything other than Yamaha as I don't have experience of anything else .

    Converting 27.5 to 26

So in this case just about then, you've just given everyone with a Nyon a free dongle;). Can you do this with an Intuvia as fitted to a 2016 XDURO?

    Converting 27.5 to 26

Please don't post on things you don't know for definite, there is far too much misinformation on this forum. I appreciate you are trying to be helpful but you clearly do not have any knowledge of this particular bike or its drive system.

    Converting 27.5 to 26

I'd like to see the shop that can lace a Bosch crank drive motor into a wheel! No you can't change the wheel size in the display, not sure if a dealer can do this with a software update.

    Gears and Tyres

You can usually hear where the puncture is a ferry putting some air into the tube, if not hold the tube close to your top lip and rotate it. I rarely repair punctures at the roadside, just stick a new tube in and blow up with a CO2 inflator, no effort required. I don't have a hub motor which...

    Gears and Tyres

I haven't missed the point. The Schwalbe tyres fitted as original equipment are usually rubbish. If you look on the Schwalbe website site you can see all of the variants starting from cheap heavy hard compounds to light fast Kevlar bead. The range of Racing Ralphs for instance is quite large...

Can I derestrict my 2016 Haibike Sduro Nduro for private Land use?

Not all dongles keep the speedo working correctly, most of them read ok up to a certain speed (below cutout) then they cancel every other or 2 out of 3 pulses so the speedo reads half or a third of the correct speed.

    Gears and Tyres

They aren't high end tyres, they are cheap OEM hard compound wire bead tyres with the same name name and tread pattern as the expensive soft / multi compound tyres with Kevlar beads, puncture resistance etc. Bear that in mind when buying, if you want decent tyres then you will need to replace...

    Universal Bike Carrier for ebikes

If it can take a towbar then many towbar mounted racks will fit. A lot of them will take an ebike without problems.

    President Trump

Looks to me like after this and Brexit both going very much against the establishment that western politics needs to take a long hard look at itself and get more in touch with the general public. You could also add the illegal immigrant crisis to this.

    Cycle Commute below zero?

You can leave them on no problem. A couple of issues I have had commuting in winter : sometimes particularly with fresh snow on top of ice the layer that you have grip on can slide on the ice underneath, spiked tyres do not help in these conditions. : if snow becomes rutted by feet, cyvle...

    Ebike derestrictor

That seems like the best way forward, no need to use a sledgehammer (arduino) to crack a walnut.

Can I derestrict my 2016 Haibike Sduro Nduro for private Land use?

Yes just glue a spare magnet onto the end of the pedal spindle and relocate the speed sensor from inside the chainstay to outside so the new magnet position activates it. Job done, this does mean your speedo won't work though and you can't just replace it with a wireless one as there is too much...

What do you think is best for me?

So all of the negative comes from bottom of the range, that's good as it isn't the market you or I would be in. With the extra info you have provided with regard to your cycling I would urge you to examine what you want very closely. My Haibike is superb in the Alps where I can be riding on 10%...

What do you think is best for me?

When you have had nothing but negative feedback I can't quite understand why you still want an ebike. Having said that I can only offer advice based on my own personal experiences powered and unpowered. I have had no electrical problems in 2000km of riding my ebike. The chain is just about shot...

    All my miles gone.

Maybe even it's in an EEPROM, brings back memories of reprogramming Bosch and Siemens plc's. We used to have a device that we called a budgies sunbed to wipe eproms, got caught out once in the Czech Republic needing to change some code and had to get one of the local techs to take the eprom to...

    Tow bar mounted carrier

So just to clear this up, they are not illegal even though the garage told you they were. Most towbar carriers fit onto the towball meaning you cannot tow at the same time. Some carriers can be attached via the towbar mounting holes on old fashioned towbars with two bolt mounting enabling you to...
