Interpretation of the Highway Code changes

That's a good solution! How many packs did you get through a day? Was there a preferred brand? Were the Benson and Hedges packets better than Marlboro, or did they all use the same cardboard and design? Could you discern by noise what brand of fake motorbike was approaching?

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

I met with the Consultant yesterday and she was very unhappy at the lack of flexibility of my wrist. I asked about wax immersion, and mentioned that my physio had said he'd never heard of it. She said various NHS Trusts have differing treatments, and that this one might not offer wax...

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

You haven't heard my playing! The badger may well have been panicked into motion far sooner. I can only reach the bottom two strings with my left hand at the moment, I'm working on regaining flexibility to reach the other four. If I can't, I'll have to retrain as a lefty. Now would be a good...

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

Yes! I've been wanting to wire one of those to my bike ever since my chance meeting with a badger at a mutually inopportune timw. My wrist still hurts like hell a few miles cycling, and I've been avoiding anywhere badgers might be I do need a good quality 36v to 12v converter, but don't know...

"Stop! Look! Listen!" is for kids, apparently. The Green Cross Man's message died with David Prowse.

4g/5G connected Car LIDAR sometimes can't see cyclists but if it could, maybe everyone could be forced by law to wear LIDAR helmets? Or phone GPS accurate to 1cm like the military have, warning of phones approaching on a collision trajectory? The privacy lot wouldn't like it. Bald people might...

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

Cycling is agony and I can't play my guitar, but doing both at the same time was impossible anyway. BEWARE OF BADGERS!

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

The specific heat capacity of beeswax is much higher than water. Beeswax is non-toxic... I suppose I could try melted cheese? Pre-stretching, I've recently started heating my wrist in between two hot water bottles, which make my wrist feel great and stay warm for longer. There's still time...

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

I asked, but my physio had never heard of hot beeswax treatment. You must have attended a better hospital. He's a young un, I get the impresssion he's just started on the YTS or something.

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

No serious injuries? They're young and rubber boned? Maybe I should hang up my pedals. I'm doing as the physio recommended but there's still not a lot of wrist movement, trying applying heat using hot water bottles, stretching, then applying ice. I didn't gain a single extra degree of...

    Throttles

Are throttles up to 27km/h legal with kit converted bikes? As far as I'm aware, they're not.

Interpretation of the Highway Code changes

It's foolish to not wear helmets, while badgers do not adhere to the Highway Code. It isn't even in their Badger Library

Interpretation of the Highway Code changes

Badgers would if they could reach the pedals, as they'd cause far more wrist breakages using vans and cars! Badgers hate cyclists! I have posted proof that badgers hate cyclists! BEWARE OF BADGERS EVERYONE! Install waterproof ultrasonic wildlife deterrents on your bikes! The health of your...

Interpretation of the Highway Code changes

That badger should have crossed at an intersection? It was too quick to stop if it had. Badgers can't press charges. It's pointless suing that badger for a broken wrist, I don't know it's address, and the video is too grainy for a jury to make a positive ID.

Help! A Bit Of Advise Please

I still use 1.75 inch Marathon Plus, but if I were to get 2.125 inch Big Ben Plus, I would probably have to get these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SKS-Guard-Children-black-mudguard/dp/B076KX8Q7Z/ref= It might be worth checking with your local bike shop to see what width tyres, are safe to use for...

Help! A Bit Of Advise Please

I went from 1.5 to 1.75 Marathon Plus, and it's a much better ride, more comfortable when going overpotholes. To reduce wrist pain further, I would have to go with Big Bens, but only after changing mudguards, which are the limiting factor.

    Dumb pedestrian

I should install a system to deploy snack countermeasures, to distract hypnotised stoned pedestrians? My cheapo camera underexposes at night. To my eye and memory, this £20 light's brightness looks more like the edited frames below, perhaps a little dimmer. I'm still giddily happy about this...

    EU Red Tape Bonfire

My sister is a nurse, she says in hospital they refer to motorbike accident riders "Donors". I look forward to seeing stats from 2020, when more cyclists, pedelecers and scooterists appeared on roads and pavements. It'd be wonderful if cylists and pedelecers weren't lumped together.
