Lishui Controller Modification - Firmware Flash Project

It wouldn't surprise me if your controller can't even measure phase current. Instead, it measures the battery current and derives some number based on an arbitrary calculation. Let's say your motor is running at 200 rpm, has a reduction ratio of 8:1 and 12 poles. That would mean that each phase...

Lishui Controller Modification - Firmware Flash Project

You don't need to worry about phase currents. They're pretty meaningless and not easy to define, since they're not continuous and go in both directions, so net DC phase current is zero. The battery current is easy to measure. It's equal to the sum of the phase currents. There's also a more or...

Peas or beans would be the best. Don't forget to remove the battery in case of contamination.

Lishui Controller Modification - Firmware Flash Project

I love the work you're doing. Anything that anybody does to add to the knowledge base should be congratulated. Over the 15 years I've been riding electric bikes, I tried just about every motor, controller and system in an attempt to find the perfect ebike solution. For me, the standard KT...

How I Upgraded My eBike to 60km/h: A Complete DIY Guide for Speed Enthusiasts

The post doesn't encourage anybody to do anything. In fact it does mention that you should follow local laws. The post itself doesn't violate any laws, so that bit doesn't apply either. We can argue all day about whether posts like that should be allowed, but I don't see any rules or laws broken.

Volt battery x 2 for sale as emigrating

We have frequent scammers offering stuff for sale that they don't actually have. The scammers are always brand new accounts that appear a short time after somebody is having trouble getting the thing that the scammer is offering. My advice is that nobody should send any money to anybody that...

Lishui Controller Modification - Firmware Flash Project

If it helps, here's a trace from a standard KT controller. You can see that changing power levels gives a more or less instant step. Likewise, look to where there is zero current because of free-wheeling, then see the step when the pedalling starts. The scale at the bottom is seconds, so if...

Dual Purpose - Commute and Tour

How are you going to get to Eastern Europe? You can't take an ebike nor battery on an aeroplane. For conversions, some bikes are better than others. The best bike would have disc brakes and a conventional triangular frame. Show us what you have.

New e-bike battery regulations: Will they make batteries safer, cheaper and repairable?

I already said that I need around 800wh. Those 28As won't even give 400wh. When I first started riding an electric bike in 2010, I had 360wh. Today, I can enjoy 1000wh for £300, which does everything I want. 400wh is of no interest to me

New e-bike battery regulations: Will they make batteries safer, cheaper and repairable?

It's not the power that's the problem, it's the capacity, which is enough room for 39 18650s at 48v or 40 at 36v. Your Molicells are 21700s, so don't fit at all at the moment.

New e-bike battery regulations: Will they make batteries safer, cheaper and repairable?

Be aware that prices are for empty cases and cell-packs. When you have everything to make the battery, it's quite expensive. I see they've reduced their prices at the moment, which brings them to a reasonable level, but the batteries are still too small for me. They'd be OK for someone less...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

This is why politics should be kept out of ebike forums. It's just a matter of time before members start name-calling, slagging each other off and generally provoking disharmony.

New here with a carrera vengeance

When the motor buzzes like that, there's a very high chance of consequential damage, so you shouldn't do anything that causes the controller to send power to it. There are many possible causes, but most likely is a connection issue, so check the connector on the left chainstay very carefully...
