    Vintage bike conversion

Love a vintage conversion and like this one muchly as said before. Yes you can buy better and safer and cheaper but thats true of camper vans too. Yet there is a thriving vintage market of air cooled, drum brake vw Still, I'm not sure I'd put one of the kids in a vintage car seat tbh

Apart from electrics - are you handy with a bike? Can you do most of your own maintenance? And do you have a bike already?

    Help for first e bike

For bullet proof and fail safe with minimum issues I would seek 1. Hub gears 2. Hub motor 3. Hydraulic brakes 4. Biggest battery you can afford

    Help for first e bike

Hi Victor How many miles do you need to do between charges? I'm guessing, as a delivery driver in a pretty flat London, that's your biggest concern

    Are indicators worth fitting

I should add I just find the photoreflective material you can buy these days astounding. Wear a jacket made of that and any signals will be more powerful in terms of message given than any light signal

    Are indicators worth fitting

So I really truly believed they would help me and provide safety over the years. I have tried 1. a panel style located on seat post with a swicth on bars 2. Early version of Wing Lights 3. Homemade glove indicators similar to a o e post in concept The best? Winglights Do I still bother...

Goading was not my intention at all And Woosh and are not mates! I've never met them or been there. I have bought a few bits and bobs over the years though and found them very good supplier by comparison to others I have used

    New Conversion kit launching

Gosh, a great deal has happened in this thread since I last came. Thank you for replying. Some of my initial concerns are alleviated but others remain. And, to be honest, only good old real world testing over time will give several of the answers The programmable bit sounds good. Although...

Hi Belen Can you photo the rear brake caliper and pads please. Photos always help Look for loose disc bolts, very worn pads, loose calipers, warped discs for starters Also can you describe a little more detail please. Is the noise all the time? Is the noise different when used?

After market bbsxx crank drive gear

No need for this except it looks cool and isn't plastic like the original A lekkie final drive cover (actually it does have a grease port so there is a point to it) See brighton Ebikes (UK lekkie distributor)...

"Shafty" a shaft driven bike conversion build

There is. Just one issue on this bike. The cranks are a very unusual and rubbish design. Not square taper or octalink but shimano powerspline (10 spline). Google this failed proprietary design! If you can find a right hand crank let me know!

New innovation I ways find very intersting but, sorry, there is always one who pokes holes So I query "lightest" as GNG do a 1.45, kg from memory. Not that I've used it. Also I worry about other claims such as the oem. Or retrofit. Hmm its retrofit isn't it really And 1.6 kg is the same as a...

Broken battery rack bolt then broken battery cable

Knew I'd seen them before. I was looking for microphone connectors Nice one SW However, if the connectors are OK don't you just need a new length of cable to solder to the connectors you already have?

"Shafty" a shaft driven bike conversion build

Yes indeed, most seem to assume it will be noisy. Here in Brighton we have shared bike scheme (like the London santander bikes). Boy are they made to last. They weigh as much as a motorbike, hub gears and a shaft drive. And they are ARE oddly noisy. It isn't the same shaft drive manufacturer...
