Both my Tonaro and Woosh have magnet rings and throttles. I can give exactly the amount of assistance that I want using the throttle.
After all, it is not as though the motor is 50 bhp

My father had some and he paid a lot for them, but was never really happy.
Now that my children tell me I am deaf (Who?, me, deaf? just stop mumbling) and so many of my friends wear them, I think that it is time to try them.

This is the direction that development needs to go, improving things that are known weaknesses rather than yet another whizz-kid designer trying to push bizarre looking frames, smart phone technology etc.
It sounds to me that these designers live and work in well heated, closeted city offices...
Personally I cannot see the need for all this extra electronics.
The function they provide is very limited and only of interest to a minority.

How waterproof are phones, and just how easily snatched off whilst passing some yobbo? (I imagine if that occurred, the bike would stop)
Strange thing is that when riding in Belgium, I leave the mirror on the right hand side.
Seems to work just fine, probably because unlike the 'Swift glance over shoulder' you can constantly monitor traffic far astern.
