Not impressed, the bike is out of date.
1 Only 260 watts at best.
2 Awkard shaped battery making replacements difficult.
3 No suspension.
4 Somewhat limited assist system with unnecessary power restriction and no throttle.

You raise a number of points.
1 At 3am, a bike has insufficient mass to operate the lights, so arguably it is not illegal to jump them because they are not truly 'Automatic Traffic signals'
2 Not knowing your particular junction, I cannot comment, but if as you say it is so dangerous to...
But why do you jump red lights?
There is no need and all you do is p+ss motorists off. Cyclists in general are trying to gain more respect from drivers and as far as I can see, all this lawlessness defeats our case.
Apparently it is a World wide problem and I for one just do not understand...
We should stop knocking the country, problem is as Flecc's post shows, there are a lot of things to be knocked and rightly so.
Still, when it comes to football, I am glad that I am not English!
I fitted mudguards to my Tonaro. When out for a ride, I spoil myself by going to posh tea rooms etc. If I was muddy or wet, I don't think my reception would be too great.
Also, they keep the bike clean.
Back in the 1950's, we removed our mudguards to look racier. Nearly all bikes had mudguards then.
I want to agree with you, but my jury is still out at the moment.
It may be youth and inexperience on their part, but the advert itself was too full of gushing words and puff, reminiscient of other bad examples. Clearly they do not have the experience or qualifications to say they know a...
Going on Lukes statement, I think that a lot of the criticism is justified.
He is not a cycle mechanic or electrician by his own account.
He will need to learn an awful lot to run a successful e-bike business and not let his customers down.
He makes no mention of support, repairs etc. and with...
Kenneth Smee drives his home-made electric car (1948) - YouTube
Either we are not told everything, but 25 mph for 5 hours and recharging in one hour?
All on a twelve volt battery!
I think that our worry is that new entrants to the e-bike scene have had their fingers burnt in the past by buying no good bikes.
These people then assume that all e-bikes are like their dud and go on sometimes to air their opinions. There is a man who visits my local occasionally, he bought...
I think Eddio may have hit the proverbial nail here.
Many people will like the look of this bike. If they use it for its intended purpose (apparently off road) they will be delighted.
For the more sedate and geriatric of us, it looks absolutely terrifying.
Collis fracture handlebars, haemorrhoid...
I cannot help but notice the numbers of middle aged men droning along the local cycle paths on mountain style bikes fitted with knobbly tyres.
They never go off road and the only conclusion I can reach is that they have bought these bikes because that is what is available, and not what is most...
