My Gale tops out at 12 mph (20 inch wheels), but the Tonaro will go up to 18mph

I must differ. Both my Woosh Gale and Tonaro Enduro give full power at a twist of the throttle. The slow start is only with the pedelec.

For me, I always recharge because I never know how far I might wish to ride the next time. If the weather is bad, just round to my daughter's (Half a mile) Otherwise, could me a few miles or 15, that is the joy of just going out on a bike and following your nose!

I watched the pupils coming out of school in Ypres. They were on a cobbled road, yet a number had passengers on their carriers. They did not wobble at all. I think it must be because of the long framed, heavily raked forks of the 'Dutch' roadster.

I noticed this in a Bike Shop in Belgium. Most of the trade was little old ladies with small mechanical problems in traditional type bikes, baby trailers etc. So, that is the client base that they catered for. Not many ebikes on show, and the mechanics were fascinated by the crank driven Tonaro...

Really looking forward to this, but the photo does not show if derailleur gears can be fitted.

I know that early pre WW1 motorcyclists used butt ended tubes, but I think that they were more of a get you home device rather than permanent replacement.

I had a similar thing on my bike. The tyre suddenly went nearly flat. I found that a spoke was broken and assumed that it had poked through the tube. This was not so. The tube was fine. I had a new spoke fitted and have used the tube for 6 months with no sign of it leaking.
