    Pedelec Law - The Details

And maybe the are good reasons why the regulations are not changing. There are no doubt a few e-bike riders that 'need' to go faster. There are also lots of people, pedestrians etc, that 'need' the current speed limit to be enforced and not increased.

Cardiff - Dozens of illegal e-bikes seized in Crackdown

Nope. Does not look like an e-bike and is legal in any case. No indication they are seizing legal eBikes.

cyclotricity stealth 1000w will not de-restrict

Well because of the laws, riding the 1000W bike on the road, in the UK, is illegal, 'restricting' the power output or speed will not make it road legal. If you want it road legal then change the motor for one that is rated at 250W.

    apollo transporter speed limit

If your speeding, 20mph++, then for sure it will attract attention. I am older than 65 and my legs are not in great shape either but the 15.5mph limit is fine by me. Not sure why having legs 'not in great shape' would mean speeding is a solution.

Got a cargo/Fat tyre Ebike 250watt are you sick of being told to get of cycle lanes and being shouted at by the uneducated

Whilst there are some legal eBikes out there very very often the eBikes you see are indeed illegal, so maybe the public are taking a reasonable view. An example, just went out to pick something up from Ikea. Was driving around town for maybe 30 mins and saw 15 eBikes being used, only 1 of them...

    Folding bike for weekend cruising

I have 20 x 1.75 Marathon plus tyres on my G-Line, not as bouncy as the supplied Schwalbe 20 x 2.1, but very good on the road and more puncture protection.

    Folding bike for weekend cruising

Spare batteries from Brompton can be an issue yes. There is a conversion kit available for the G-Line that uses Bosch power tool batteries on the front bag block, you can get those batteries all over the World.

    Folding bike for weekend cruising

Brompton G-Line Electric with a spare battery ? The non Electric I have, folds quick and easy and small, very nice to ride, more like a full size bike. Even has hydraulic disk brakes.

Yep, does look pretty standard stuff, not sure about the battery connector though. But the Brompton is rim brakes on meagre 16" rims, so instant death on an electric bike, given some of the 'advice' I have seen ....................

    Macfrey kits on aliexpress

Well the battery\controller mount on the front bag block does look better than the TOPBIKEKIT setup; Difficult to comment on the rest, the bike shown is not a geniune Brompton, so who knows if it fits on a standard Brompton. The other issue, when buying from the far East, is to know whether...

Cyclists who kill pedestrians could be jailed for life under new law

Wonder if the powers that be will also include a category for 'dangerous walking' in the new legislation ? These days, especially on cycle paths, large numbers of pedestrians no longer look where they are going as they are constantly staring at phones and random changes of direction are the norm.

Front hub kit suggestions for Brompton clone with 20 inch wheel

The version with rear rack and roller wheels is about 15kg. The fat tyres do look 'cool', especially for social media posts etc, but they are a bit thin. I have fitted Marathon plus 20x1.75 tyres, adds about 500g to bike weight but I wanted good puncture resistance. The supplied Schwalbe...
