When I had a Giant Dirte 2 I bought an additional battery from ripcord cycles near York it was an ex display battery which had only about 50 miles on it. Payed £295 for it, amassive saving.
Brilliant! You won't regret it ... Good choice you will appreciate the instant torque delivery and you can always rely on good back up service from Giant. Guess you will be giving it a good off road test this weekend?
Maybe see if you can still get one of Giants Dirte hard tail or full suspension MTB,s I've heard there are massive discounts on 2016 models they have high torque Yamaha motors good battery packs and excellent build quality.
.....Did not use bike much but did have nice ride on road towards old man of store , very windy and open to the elements but the kalkhoff made easy workout it. Did a few more miles later in Oban area including a days rough stuff on the isle of matters. The bike continues to perform well with no...
Have only done just over 300 miles so far on the kalkhoff and still pleased with it. Pretty certain that the 'cracking' sound I've heard a couple of times from he bottom bracket area is actually from the left hand SPD pedal which is getting on abit anprobably needs a new pair. The motor itself...
Obviously direct sun light is best but maybe some benefit when cloudy? Have often wondered why electric cars, vans or even caravans don't have large solar panels attached their roles
Nobody,s mentioned solar power? Obviously not to enough to fully power an ebike? But suppose many have seen the YouTube clip about the lady doing long tour towing a solar panel the size of a decorators pasting table.
I may be old fashioned but I do prefer to use an OS map, just like pouring over them to plan a route previously and pop into a map case for the journey with the main points, road numbers and place names jotted down. Only problem now is that the eyes aren't as good as they were and can be a pain...
Almost a week with the new kalkhoff and all good so far. Only about 100 or so miles on the clock due to some grandad duties, and have made a change to the Rider Profile to see how it differs. It seemed to take ages to run the battery down completely and used the two highest levels to hurry it...
If you had the choice who would you most like to spend a day out in the saddle with? Sporting hero maybe, actor, comedian or anyone famous, still with us or not, who is an inspiration and good company?
Hi Arthur,. Unable to help with technical advice although there are plenty of knowledgable members able to; good to see that recent health problems hasn't dampened your enthusiasm to keep getting out on the bike so good on ya !
