    Q128C Still a good choice?

BMSBATTERY show £66 postage for a Q128C motor! Shows £34 until you log in so presumably it picks up the uk address?

I have found this from PSWPower, where I sourced the original battery from. Hopefully a straight swap. Ordered from China so a couple of week wait!

    Battery with built in controller.

Would these go together? Battery with built in controller and motor! Is the price ok?

    Battery with built in controller.

Thanks for that. I like the idea that it can replace the holder on your current battery. On the new build I do not want a throttle or brake cut-offs as not missed them on the last 1000 miles. The only outputs I need then are motor, display, and pas. Trying to keep cables to a minimum. I like the...

    Battery with built in controller.

Part of the plans for my new build is using a down tube battery with a controller integrated into the base for a cleaner look. My current setup is 48v 14.5A with a separate 17amp controller. I would like to at least match these specs if possible and be KT type controller for the LCD-8 colour...

    Q128C Still a good choice?

Is there an equivalent/ similar motor to the AKM / Q128c that is sold in the UK

My battery is 48v 14.5amp. Does it matter that the one above is 35amp? What are the chances of the sense wire connector from my battery fitting this one? If you were to ignore the big blue surround and just fit the sense connector from by battery to it!

    Q128C Still a good choice?

Thanks. I don’t want the small one as I’m not a small chap so need the bigger 128 version.

    Q128C Still a good choice?

an AKM128c or Q128c is the way to go? Are there any uk suppliers of these at reasonable cost or is it still the China route? If China I will get motor only due to postage costs.

I am not going to use it like this , it was just a test to verify all was working inc controller and display. Any idea where I could get this type of BMS from? Done a search but nothing as yet..

    Controller help needed.

I have just connected the battery back to the bike and connected the live from the battery base to the controller live input but used the ground from the soldered connector on the right side of BMS, which I think is the ground from all cells to the BMS and all works on the bike So the fault is...

    Q128C Still a good choice?

I did a self build 3 years ago and used a Q128C 201/48v rear wheel hub motor in my Specialized Crosstrail. It has been good to date but I am now considering doing another conversion on a new bike and was wondering if the motor been superseded by a better model or better alternatives are now...

    Controller help needed.

Just checked and the 2 white wires do go to the on/off switch. The low reading of 51v to the low left solder is with switch on. 0v with switch off. Other 2 reading stay the same at high 53v with switch on or off

I should think they go to the on/off switch as they disappear under the cells at the opposite end. I haven’t removed it completely out of its case.

    Controller help needed.

Connector was in. 0v when out. I am giving the readings when the positive is connected to the base of the battery where is attatches to the frame caddy. I appreciate they are grounds but odd that they give different readings when a circuit is made with the positive. Pictures below are from the...

    Controller help needed.

interesting results! I did as described above and all 13 readings were either 4.13 or 4.12. I then measured the voltage from the positive terminal on the base of the battery to the 3 connections on the BMS. The bottom left was as before at 51.3 but the centre left (yellow) was 53.4 and the...

Great thanks for that I will give my results tomorrow. Are the cells replaceable if found to be faulty?
