So, I ordered the wheel from Cyclotricity in the end. They took my payment, told me I'd get it quickly, via DHL 'Premier 24', and gave me a tracking number. Days came and went, DHL said they never received the package, yet Cyclotricity continued to tell me to be patient. I just got a phone...

Drat - I just noticed that delivery time is two months. Is there a place in this country that keeps such things in stock?

Thank you very much. No, I don't get it. The motor has worked beautifully for nearly three years. Two bike shops have looked at it, without comment as regards its orientation. Yes, I would very much like to get a 'whole new motor wheel' - indeed that was my original question, but I don't know...

The problem is not with the motor, which has been excellent for a few years now. The problem is with the rim.

Yes, it’s a 20 inch wheel.

The motor is 36V, 250W and will do 15.5 mph (governed by the software).

Thank you ever so much, gentlemen. I will phone Wight Mountain in the morning, and get the ball rolling from there. I'll take a photo of the motor and connector later.

I suppose other questions might be: Can the rim be repaired? Is there such a person as a 'wheel-builder', who might build a wheel around this motor?

For the reason outlined above. Now, if I could just find a source for a rear wheel with 13g spokes.

I'll stick with my usual 13 then.

Incidentally, I've had a good number of 14g spokes break, but never a single 13g.
