Does Woosh Do Any Battery Repairs?

As Jimmy is sadly unwell at present, I wonder if Woosh undertake any battery repairs? Alternatively, I see that Woosh now offer a 36V, 20AH battery with 21700 cells. Will it fit my old Big Bear rack? Thanks.

    Battery Repairs?

Hello again. Sadly, Jimmy is currently unwell. I think my battery needs a new BMS and some TLC too. Who else does this kind of work?

    Power Cutting Out

Reply to Andy at Woosh: "So, I alligned the terminals, rode down the road, then no power, no display. Noticed a wire inside melted. Fuse gone, changed it - still all dead. Put battery no 2 in - all working. Rode a mile down the road - all okay. "...

    Power Cutting Out

Well, the secondhand controller has been good until now (although I never could get the speedometer working). Any idea if I can still get one of those controllers?

    Power Cutting Out

You may remember that the controller is a secondhand one I got from Andy. This was the thread: https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/big-bear-motor-gone.45983/

    Power Cutting Out

As regards the battery, I had it upgraded by Jimmy a few years ago. 21700 cells and new BMS.

    Power Cutting Out

Randomly. I rode one mile this morning and it happened four times. The display stayed on the whole time.

    Power Cutting Out

Hello there again. My Big Bear's power has been cutting out intermittently. I'll be riding along, then lose all power, yet the display is still on. On one occasion, I could see the battery charge indicator decrease, step by step, from five to one. When this happens, I have power from neither...

    Big Bear - Motor Gone?

Yes to everything. Andy did mention the external speed sensor, but I shall resist the temptation. I know how fast I'm going. Many thanks!!

    Big Bear - Motor Gone?

Okay, I'll go down in a bit, if I can disconnect my person from the sofa. Hopefully, the connector is male, and doesn't identify as something in-between ;) I'll go and take a pic soon, but as the speedometer was working okay yesterday morning, I suspect Andy may be right.

The speed sensor is inside the motor, I believe.

    Big Bear - Motor Gone?

Okay, Mr Woosh, I went through the sequence (great tip about leaving the bike half in the rack and connected!) Okay until the speed sensor was connected, then pedal assist went back to on/off/on/off etc. Andy suggested that I might have damaged the speed sensor with my connecting of everything...

    Big Bear - Motor Gone?

I had no idea that these things have to be done in sequence. Thanks :)

The only connector on the bike side that is not connected is red/black/white. The only thing that will connect to it from the controller (other than things that are not used, such as the red/black/purple) is the red/blue/yellow.

    Big Bear - Motor Gone?

Thanks very much, Woosh. I'll go through that sequence after this cup of tea (or tomorrow, if I'm too knackered).

    Big Bear - Motor Gone?

Ah, it seems there have been other posts whilst I was down with the bike. Sorry.

Right. speed sensor disconnected. Pedal assist working like a dream This is a result, as far as I'm concerned.
