    Mud guards 26 mtb recommends

So my Ti 26 hardtail is being converted for commuting use with a front hub (for now, maybe a bbs in time) But I've only ever commuted on 700c hybrids till now. Are there any decent mudgaurd for mtb hardtail? I never put them in my mtb usually. And I hate those seat mounted cheapo trials...

    Electric bike connectors.

But we learn as we go, isn't that part of the fun? I didn't know an xt60 from deans from a bullet connector when I first started out....much less their respective advantages or disadvantages And then you need to layer personal preference on top I have settled on XT60 as they have...

Which kit? 12 mile range, 20mph, hub motor, city bike

A setup I had and rode at one stage that would easily do this is Bpm front hub from BMS battery (36v) A basic no hall 48v controller A 16ah 48v battery (actually I had a 36v 16ah and a 11.1v lipo booster battery set up of 15.6ah hooked up in series)

    Pingy power cable ?

You have posted that quote before years ago and I have never forgotten it I will try toys and report back. Eventually as I'm off to Cardiff for a week's work then wife is off with her mates for 3 days.... Leaving me solo with 4 kids ! Zero time for pingy coils

    Continuing disappointment in Scott

Curana - I have had terrible experience with them. They literally never replied to any correspondence ever I liked their mudgaurd but , as a consequence, have never bought again. And never will

lacing a motor hub, spokes and watch outs

My tuppence - Chinese builds are fine, get job done But, they just don't have the beauty and feel that can be achieved by a really good wheel builder. I'm very lucky in that my independent lbs is an artist in this field. Many other LBS send their builds to him and then surcharge. So it...

How to make a lightweight battery

Thank you , really useful stuff. And that bms is also on eBay. Had you said you just had in stock it's the one I would order. Your better fitting 16a doesn't work for me sadly. My GSM pulls more and I'm after interchangeable packs across my bikes (like lipo but without the hassle and risk)...

How to make a lightweight battery

Hi d8veh My lipo packs are dying and 18650 have moved on so much I won't be replaceing them Instead id like to make two of the bottle batteries. Use one for commutes and use two for longer trips. I still have a huge and heavy 16ah dolphin pack from Jimmy which shows no sign of degradation...

24 hour mtb xc race (no power!)

Hey all, been away dealing with family matters Honestly, it was horrendous. Freezing, 36 hours of torrential, unrelenting rain. Mud up to knees. Conditions destroyed hubs, bottom brackets and brakes on short order. At the start it was dangerous because you couldnt see tree roots or rocks...

Ok thanks both for your input and also your honesty! Your price is very fair Jerry and as I'm up near bishops stortford for a week or so soon I am sorely tempted However, on sober reflection this isn't really what ticks the boxes for me. So I'm very grateful for help and sorry to have wasted...
