Long day break or short weekend away.

When I first discovered the delights of riverside and canal towpaths, I was young and foolish and went bowling along one, only to end up asre over tit when my front wheel went down an 'ole. I was a bit more circumspect after that. Anyway, several years passed and when I put my first proper...

    Screw this!!!!

Wissy; you'll be lucky if you can eke any more life out of it - lithium cells just die of old age after about four years or so and earlier if they've been badly charged or stored. However, you could look into re-celling it with suitable cells, once you open it up to see exactly what's in there...

Which, and I'm sure you'll agree, doesn't necessarily mean that she was/is a female.

    Screw this!!!!

You've been lucky, then. The NiCad and NiMH batteries are just enough to last for a few months then start going downhill rapidly. The basic drill/driver is good enough but nothing special and I wouldn't expect it to be long-lived; but for that price, why should it. To Wissy - are you drilling a...

    Screw this!!!!

Avoid Aldidl cordless battery tools - the batteries are rubbish. If you want somethint worthwhile, pick up a used *but still good* Makita drill/driver and splash out on a battery for that or buy one and have the peace mind that the tool will last a good couple of years, it will be strong enough...

    Sexy Thai girl

I was sitting on the train this morning opposite a really sexy Thai girl. I thought to myself, "Please don't get an erection, please don't get an erection." It was no good. She did.

Using electrically-assisted bikes: lazy cheaters or healthy travellers?

He won't be sitting at home on his backside. Like so many other retired cops, he'll have a nice little sideline going that he can turn into full-time work.

    Edinburgh Electric Bike Hire Proposal

The way I read it is, I think that will be £50 to register or per annum and priced per hire/day/whatever afterwards. It would still be very cost-competitive for commuting or short journeys in and around the city. Tourists (nearly wrote trouserists) would have some facility made available to them...

That reminds me of a joke about a bloke with a giant screw where his bellybutton should have been...

    Phase bullet insulation fused

I've found these bullet connectors to be particularly horrible and fitting only where they belong - on a 1950s Morose Minor. Much better to replace with something more modern and reliable.

Using electrically-assisted bikes: lazy cheaters or healthy travellers?

To sum it up - some coppers are twi/ats, but most aren't and I'm glad we have them.

    Say Cheese...

And bounciness. Bounciness is a problem that must be addressed - the cheaper supermarket Cheddars, having a large component of yellow rubber in their mix, have an unfair advantage compared to the traditional cheeses. There must be a Committee set up to look into the advisability of a Steering...

    Could this be an option?

You can get away without a BMS, for a while, then your shed burns down during the night. Seriously, it's really dependent on what battery chemistry you use. Myself, I deliberately chose Bosch Fatpacks (36V power tool batteries) because they're lithium manganese and inherently very safe and...

    Sat Nav

Yes, my smartphone navigation app doesn't use any of my data allowance when I move around with it. Just to make doubly sure, I disable data connectivity on the phone anyway, as I'm a bit leary of straying over my measly 1GB/month, for that way lies ruination when the telecoms companies get into...
