Mountainsport has always displayed the finer qualities of one of the fairer sex.

Thank you Bob, that even sounds more relaxing to me for some reason. Have you already experienced this type of ride through the canals tow paths? PLEASE ANSWER ME B4 LYNDA DOES.

Oops.......Bob he be too slow.....canal tow paths generally fantastic and very relaxing if empty, otherwise can be a bit distracting avoiding dogs/people/other bikes/fishermen/boat tie up ropes/various detritus from said boats on tow path/mud/narrow bridge tunnels and possible imminent immersion in said canal.
But I love them.......

Hi Lynda,

I must say that you have been quick on the ball this time around. You had mentioned to me sometime earlier that you wouldn't mind teaming up. Still interested? And thank you for tipping me off about the canal tow paths. Lynda, the big question is when is it less busy, definitely not during the summer period.
Also I need to keep up with my tanning process b4 the winter comes back around again.

Well, mountainsport, its definitely quieter in the rain......

Ive done quite a few canal tow paths, I really do love them, if you fancy having your weekend away down here in Somerset (before I move back to Geordie land....god knows when this house will sell :( ) then we could do the Taunton to Bridgewater canal which is absolutely beautiful and not strenuous and generally not over busy either, plus plenty places to eat/drink/garden centre to visit, etc etc nearby.

My tanning process is starting right now in my south facing private'ish garden, just got to make sure I dont burn my bum again :D

Which, and I'm sure you'll agree, doesn't necessarily mean that she was/is a female.
Well, yes, that is also true ! Have to admit I didn't really think of that and would have been surprised if I'd met Mountainsport and she'd turned out to be a guy. But qualities are qualities and I guess it matters little in the end !

Ive done quite a few canal tow paths, I really do love them,
When I first discovered the delights of riverside and canal towpaths, I was young and foolish and went bowling along one, only to end up asre over tit when my front wheel went down an 'ole. I was a bit more circumspect after that. Anyway, several years passed and when I put my first proper mountainbike on the road/trail/whatever, I recalled the dreamy towpaths of my youth and went seeking some out.
Big Tip; don't do canal towpaths at the weekend, especially on a Sunday, as that's when all the anglers come out. They're fine, they really are, but it's such a hassle for them and you to avoid all their gear and you feel mortified if you accidentally run over a rod. It's just not polite :)
During the week, the towpaths in most parts of the country are dead as doornails and you can have a fine journey on most of them. Once you accept that the standard of maintainence varies from excellent to utterly abysmal and can cope with that.

.... well, badgers can be very sociable animals so sharing your hole would probably have its upsides along with doing your bit for the conservation effort. Very active at night too, so I understand !
