    Presta valves

That's great if that works for you. My e-bike transport is a VW Transporter Van wholly dedicated to exploring cycle tracks around the UK... air pump plugs in ciggi socket... memorised digital pressure setting... just plug in and switch on... few seconds... spot on pressure... simples! And if...

    Presta valves

Ditto. Why waste effort manually pumping tyres when an electric car-tyre pump does it more accurately and in just a few seconds?

16 mph Scooter on hotUKdeals £203

Yeah, I get all that flecc. Nobody's pretending it's road legal. This for me would just be a bit of occasional off-road fun, a bit of a laugh, not a serious form of transport. People blow £200+ on a night out or in half-hour in a one-armed bandit. From what little I've seen, XiaoMi make some...

16 mph Scooter on hotUKdeals £203

There are some road-legal pedal-less, electric motor scooters available* which do come with a certificate of conformity for easy registration, but I accept this one likely doesn't. For a couple hundred quid though, I'd take that chance on a back-water cycle track to the next local village for...

16 mph Scooter on hotUKdeals £203

For XiaoMi to have only formed in 2010 and in just 7 years have a turnover of $15 billion (USD) is pretty impressive. The only XiaoMi product I know reasonably well is the XiaoMi robotic home vacuum cleaner. It took on longer-established competing robotic vacuum products from Samsung, Dyson...

    Help with Charger

That model of charger (suffixed "XH") has all 5-pins connected; there's extra circuitry in there which other versions of similar looking Sans charger models don't include. Kudos and FreeGo have e-bike models which use a similar SF-06 battery, and they may (or may not) use that same 5-pin XH...

    The new best headlight

Obvious to who exactly? Clearly a lot of folk on this and other cycle forums (you included) are fairly clued up, but I'd argue not the majority who frequent Ebay. If I buy a product clearly advertised as McVities Jaffa Cakes I expect exactly that... not some poor, crass, half-baked imitation...

    The new best headlight

This may well be a very good bike light, and I wouldn't argue with that if it suits your purpose. But it always confuses me how any seller can claim any XM-L light can produce 10,000 Lumens when the latest XM-L2 is (from Cree's own website) the "highest performing commercially available...

    Locks

This picture is of a neighbours nicked brand new £900 Cube non-electric bike. He's done everything right: TWO highly rated locks of different types - one D-lock and one chain, all properly secured to a proper bicycle stand. This picture shows the bike AFTER it was found, the following morning...

    The new best headlight

That light output is really impressive! So I checked out the Magicshine website, and see it has a 1/2kg battery pack that only lasts for 1.5 hrs at full tilt (those 4 x Cree XM-L2s really suck the juice it seems)! And then I saw this, which they say is Magicshines most popular light, and uses...

    New Bafang BBS02 DPE-12 display

Ah, I see. Most of the standard Bafang displays do already have Wattage (Wh), Current (Ah), Voltage, Temperature (Motor or Ambient isn't clear) etc already configured in the standard LCD displays. Those functions just don't seem to be activated, which is disappointing.

    New Bafang BBS02 DPE-12 display

I'm confused. You say you don't want a speedo on your bike whilst you're actually riding it because it takes valuable space on your handlebars, but you do find having your cycle speed displayed via Bluetooth onto your 'phone a useful proposition?

Haibike Yamaha - battery replacement options

You need to take that argument to ebikeshop who sell Yamaha-powered Haibikes. You ride Austria. The OP rides Cambridgeshire. I doubt the terrain of the two are even remotely comparable.

Haibike Yamaha - battery replacement options

With respect, that's crap. You should be expecting >80% capacity at 500 cycles/2 years. The OP has just 150 cycles after 1 year. Granted, we all use the available power differently, but e-bikeshop on Yamaha-powered Haibike suggest the Yamaha 400Wh battery offers 43 miles at near constant...

LCD Display from Bafung (and the size of it)

The display can easily be rotated. All the Bafang displays I've seen (my own included) can be tightened so that they're firm enough not to dislodge through normal vibration, yet can be easily rotated if/when you need to turn the bike upside down for repairs.

Haibike Yamaha - battery replacement options

Sorry if I'm being thick... but your Yamaha 400 Wh battery is guaranteed for 2 years and a minimum 500 cycles. I get a minimum of 30 miles from my 374Wh cheapo Phylion/Samsung celled battery. Why are you even discussing this? It's a warranty claim.

Looking for Help derestricting Carrera Vulcan (pics included)

Having the electronic controller potted (sealed) in silicone is probably a really good idea for waterproofing, but it doesn't help to see the circuitry and understand how Suntour have made their own proprietary ATS system function. The stuff behind the crank is Suntours own (unique/different...

    Best Budget E-Bike

I've got one of these for £500 if you're interested - just done 1 ride, 16 miles in dry sunny weather, from new... and still absolutely clean and as-new, mint condition. I paid £840, but took an instant dislike to it and bought a different, more expensive ebike. Nothing wrong with it at all for...

    Helmet light..

I'm all in favour of anything that helps a cyclist be clearly seen on the road... but: 1) If you've got your head down (a drop-bar road bike or pedalling hard), no one sees the lights at the back. You need to maintain a sit-up position. 2) A car driver is looking for clear hand signals, not...

    Intro

You are particularly well blessed in Milton Keynes with miles of well planned, dedicated off-road routes... you can cycle the entire city without actually touching a road!
