Ku65 cap question and amp rating

Hi all I finally took apart my old ku65 to check what it had inside vs my new one(spare) Firstly one shunt is larger than other which may account for the 15a vs 17amp labels ? Both have 63v caps - I think ? But there is another black thing that says 50v Anyone able to confirm what I'm...

    "Last mile" transport project

Totally accept what you say but reality of where I live is it is most unlikely. Plus it is so low powered it will be slower than normal kick scooter. And look like one - nothing like those huge and powerful goped types Plus I go to work very early indeed no one is about And finally it will...

    "Last mile" transport project

Hi All, I have a slightly more than half baked idea to make a “last mile “ electric transport option for myself.. Essentially inspired by the 20 minute walk (all flat) that I am from the train station whenever my ebike is unwell ! Broadly the idea is a lightweight folding electric scooter...

    increasing battery capacity

A turnigy accucel or an imaxb6 charger will charge your booster battery. And just very useful too. I've used mine to charge everything from a range rover to a Kindle battery. Very useful for capacity testing too A ku65 can take 44.4v nominal with minimal danger of blowing So that's a 7.4v...

    E-Bike Upgrade

I I usually look up the specification of batteries I harvest. They are usually 0.2c standard but some times it says to a maximum of 1c Cheers

    E-Bike Upgrade

You sure about that c rating Mike. I think laptop cells are usually 0.2c ? I built a 44.4v 12ah pack once and the sag was horrible. Fine on Flat but any serious load and voltage just collapsed And that was on 200w bike

    E-Bike Upgrade

I overvolt a ku65 to 48v but without a shunt mod It makes my 250w motor fly Your battery is simply not up tot ask. Laptop cell are not able to give enough amps 0.2c is standard I harvest them and use in booster batteries (11.1v) to get from 36 to 48 volt nominal They don't last long. Maybe...
