The development of the brand new 2020 Wispers... in Pictures!

The predominant deciding factor for so many purchasers will as always be the "bottom line", for so many it "has" to be.

    Pannier bag/s

Not in my case, I originally set the lower clip of each to the appropriate position and fixed it there, never resetting again. Fortuitously, both are identical simply vertically down, the rack must have been designed for these panniers. As such they "fall" into position naturally and it matters...

    Pannier bag/s

I would expect your bags either come with the OL-1 or QL-2 system, mine the are the former which I find brilliant, QL-1 system QL-2 system

    Pannier bag/s

Surely the "lower" clip is just that, an anti swing clip that slips over and off the rail, not something screwed up tight with an Allen key to lock the bag in place? Well, thats the way I have used the bags so they can be fitted and removed in seconds. My take is if they were intended to be...

Extending arm to reduce chance of been hit by overtaking car

In part "we" can be our own worst enemy in "group" riding. Where that group adopts a pattern and positioning changing routine that effectively commands the road and sets the road speed. Fine where safe overtaking is not possible by the nature of the road but "silly" and dangerous on more open...

Possibly the worst cycle accessory i have seen this year

I did not miss that but the response was to the thread, no specific posting within it.

Possibly the worst cycle accessory i have seen this year

Simply follow the Highway codes "Arm Signals" as these are what everone driving "ought" to know and expect to see plus to anyone else they are about as intuitive to understand as it is possible to be. Wearing hi-vis at night. Why oh why clutter up and complicate a bike other than to make money...

Possibly the worst cycle accessory i have seen this year

Is it my computer, or is that flashing glove pulling in sync with the flashing, both his arm and the road itself? ;)

Possibly the worst cycle accessory i have seen this year

First I think he would have served himself far better getting some mirrors or at least turning to look round behind more than the shots indicate he does. I forgo one hand gripping on the bars and very "pointedly" signal to any involved party exactly where I intend turning, then only do it when...

bike without single point of failure

As an aside re the GAADI tube; do you use this simply as a get you home option or is it "bump" enough free to be a fit and forget solution. My wifes bike with Gates with Nexus rear set up, makes these decidely appealing, even if just till I can rework the wheel back at home.

bike without single point of failure

"bike without single point of failure" ??? There is of course no bike without any "single point of failure", the frame, the forks, either wheel, and even a simple puncture, the steering, etc; it is just that some get hung up on the drive and choose to look no further. And the drive might be...

    Battery charging, how often

Well come on it has, all our electric bikes have these batteries and that together with recharging them is as pointed out placing us and our loved ones at a horrendous risk , we have been warned ;)

    Battery charging, how often

When its raining our bike battery gets recharged in the house, as do the phones, speakers etc. It's a gamble, but I don't buy into the concept it is a high probability risk, we just ensure we take them off charge when retiring or leaving home. Then we buy respected branded products sourced...

    Battery charging, how often

Andy, could you direct us to where this claim is supported in your "Battery University" link? All I can read both in your link and their BU-808: How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries, rather seems to completely contradict such a claim, and these both align with the advice I have been given; I...

    Battery charging, how often

On "range anxiety" I made use of the "remaining range" featured on our bike which I suspect most bikes feature, to develop a trustworthy understanding of what I could actually achieve. Probably other makes are different, but ours when understood instils confidence. Range varies quite noticeably...

Ebike charging using Street EV chargers for electric cars

The fact that we typically for a full recharge only require 10 pence worth of energy, often it will only be a partial charge, seems to hint doing anything to provide this, is not going to be a"good business model". Particularly in the UK, where providers can't charge more for electrical energy...

    introducing the Woosh Grand Camino

Much my thought too Mike, the top tube looks fine, it is securing the anti flapping lower catch as on my Ortlieb back rollers that seems questionable. Maybe just be able to catch the lower diagonal as it snapes away?

Cube Bosch Performance cx Burns out

Okay, chain failure has happened, though as said never to me, but does it actually support the contention those with CM have "the need to carry a spare chain and tools for each and every ride. " ? I think something of a wild exaggeration, and one I know personally is untrue, that IMO takes away...

Cube Bosch Performance cx Burns out

It ought to be noted, that the revered rear hub motors could also well feature plastic gears. There however the bike only has one unique road speed where it's motor is functioning at peak efficiency. This is very unlikely designed to fall where it is struggling up a steep incline, I suggest...

Sanity check my thinking, paralysed by choice, please help!

Not having cycled for so long, what I found as a lifelong quite keen cyclist might not be such an issue for you, but it was the nature of the power assistance that I found a deciding issue. E-bikes basically fall into two camps, a powered bike or a power assisted bike. The former can near...
