Pleasant ride, sunshine but something missing?

Yep, some great riding down there, watch out for the big hills ! It's a ball ache coming from the west (weymouth) to get there, having to ride on the busy main road eastwards from Weymouth. I tend to go up to Dorchester, pick up the national cycle route no.2 to wool, and then down to the...

Pleasant ride, sunshine but something missing?

Looks like the Harvester on Bowleaze hill, over looking Weymouth Bay and Portland. Nice spot. Did I happen to spy you guys a couple of weeks ago in the beer garden of the Black Bear at Wool ? I see a trend here if so lol

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

Good luck Ted, hope it goes well. If I was living in NI, and as a keen ebiker, I would make a point of getting a banner and be stood at the entrance for when he (and you) arrive on the 30th. Get the local press down there and get some quotes from this MP post the meeting. Come on NI ebikers...

    Have bike, where to cycle?

Oh, try the Kennet and Avon canal route, you can get from the Thames cycle route west to Reading, have a stop over there (or catch the train to Reading from London ) and perhaps another in Newbury. Have a night in Bath and then train back. Bit muddy in parts at this time of the year (we did it...

    Have bike, where to cycle?

The South Downs Way route from Guildford to Shoreham is magnificent, we caught the train up from Dorset to Guildford last summer, rode that route down to the airport at Shoreham (for afternoon tea, beautiful building), and caught the train back home. Long day (we were on non powered hybrid...

any impressions on the Carrera Crossfuse (or the Bosch Active Line Plus)?

If you combined it with ordering through topcashback site (5%) last night, and BC membership (plus the 20% offer) it would of come in sub £1100 - great deal

First Ride on my b-Twin Bafang 250 mid Drive

You can get seat post racks with support arms that bolt onto the rear triangle but yours being a full susser that won't work. As d8veh says only a matter of time before it snaps. The doner bike is not ideal for this battery placement

"And if you fancy a bit of extra speed, you can unplug the white wire which limits the motor to the EU-regulated 15.5mph. This gives you a few extra mph that'll let you cruise at a comfortable 20mph."

    Ancheer first impressions

I like the idea of this, at just £400, it really does put this in the price range for a lot of people who may well be put off by more expensive ebikes or who don't feel competent to convert with a kit. A rail season pass for a couple of stops near me (6 mile journey) is £860 per year, so this...

    German e-bike market success

I spent a week cycle touring (non powered) last year in the Ruhr area, it seemed every other bike we saw on the paths and trails was an ebike.

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

Ted, this sucks, I feel for you too. Perhaps a rally of all of NI's Ebikers riding up to Stormount or something...would they arrest you all with all the publicity that would bring about ?

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

Sorry to report that I had my first cut-out on my new (1st Jan) Crossfire-e today. Was stationary at the lights, pulled away, looked down and saw display off. Didn't need to re-seat the battery, but did need to power on at the battery switch (not just display switch) I did have a theory...

    Faulty eCarrera Crossfire

I have taken your advice and greased up the contacts with silicon grease. Still doesn't explain the cut out issue with the first generation Crossfire-e that has the same Suntour HESC system, but with a fixed, non removable display (no contacts) instead. Either way, no cutouts on my bike, 2...
