    Bosch or Bafang?

Love my Bafang BBS01 mid drive conversion. Love too the fact I can buy a Samsung celled 17.5ah (630wh) battery for under £200. The equivalent battery from Bosch is over £700. So for £700 for the Bafang and 2 x 17.5ah batteries plus donor bike, the DIY route is about a third of the equivalent...

    Best value Bosch Performance CX

I suspect once you've got over the 'Hipster' novelty of the Vanmoof, if you buy a CX motored MTB as well you'll be choosing that for most rides (other than posing around town)

E-bike accessories and clothing and running costs (extreme shopping frenzy)

A pannier rack and rack bag I find useful for commuting, somewhere to stash all of the different wet/cold weather gear you'll need for all year round riding. You might ride in on a warmer dry morning, only for it to be cold and lashing it down for the ride home later in the day. Oh, and you'll...

    Chinese Emtb repairs

from what I can see from a quick google search is that these Gunai bikes are based around rear hub motors, so if Aliexpress are sending you just the motor, you will need to undo all of the spokes and replace the wheel into the the new replacement hub...not a simple task to do well, you'll need...

    Bosch or Bafang?

if you like the idea of a mid drive but want to be able to fix cheaply if issues convert an existing bike with a bafang bbs01, they offer more grunt than the alp motor too

    Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus rolling resistance

The regular marathon or energiser is a lot lower rolling resistance, lighter tyre and still gives great protection and better grip than the MP's. I think they offer the best compromise unless you ain't bothered about range or better grip (in which case get the MP's)

an early 2020 bike will still be under warranty with Halfords. Not sure if the warranty was transferable, but if the seller was a mate, he/she might be able to return it to Halfords store and pose as the current owner

The development of the brand new 2020 Wispers... in Pictures!

I've been running Smart Sam Plus tyres for the summer, about 1k miles so far on them, very pleased, good grip off road and pretty grippy too on tarmac, and have a center tread that rolls well. Not a single puncture so far. Mine are 700c x 1.75in, and I've found a great price here at about £38...

    Making mid drive, help required.

I thought the latest 'B' version threw up an error when trying to reprogram the 250w from 15a to 18a, in which case you need the 350w physical controller to run at 18a ?
