    World's lightest electric road bike 2019 ?

That bike is the exact opposite of mine ;) (Saying that, I would love one)

How to connect two 36v batteries and NOT getting 72v

Just a small point but get into the habit of always connecting - ve to - ve first. EDIT: and take the - ve off last when disconnecting.

Thoughts on my first e-bike build

Do you mean your post when you asked about what was offensive ? I removed my mistaken report and it accepted that. If you want me to I may be able to delete the whole thread as I was the op. Not sure how this software works. I could then repost the original post. I will have a check through to...

How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

Mal69, which site did you get them from ?

Newbie advice - Conversion Kit for bike with Hydraulic Disc Brakes

I can thoroughly recommend the Woosh kit as recommended above. It was also my first conversion and the more I get to know about this world and the more I ride my bike the more certain I am that I made the right decision. OK you may save a few bob by finding the bits separately but as I have...

    £299 conversion - info c/o ebiketips

The price seems to have escalated fairly dramatically now the early bird slots have gone.

    Lightest possible conversion

Warning - long post ! I am learning a bit more each day and can see how people can get sucked into this e-bike world and it can become a real hobby. There are so many variations of hardware and you can delve as deeply into the technology as you want. At the moment it is a bit overwhelming and I...

    Lightest possible conversion

Found this thread about someone using this motor in a lightweight build https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=93843 Is it bad form or even not allowed to post links to competing forums ? If it is, would someone please tell me and I will delete the link .....

    Lightest possible conversion

Yes, that was it - with the little infernal combustion engine over the front wheel. When I was 14 the family had a holiday in Brittany and I really fancied one of those. I have looked at their site and they now sell the E-Solex with the motor in the same place but it is rated at 500W. It must...

    Lightest possible conversion

Thanks Tony . So it seems a centre crank drive is heavier but I do not fancy a front wheel motor so what is the lightest rear wheel option ? There is something elegant in the simplicity of this friction drive. There used to be something similar in France years ago but that was with a little...

    Lightest possible conversion

I have recently completed the conversion of my hybrid bike to electric power using a rear wheel motor. This bike has front suspension, rack and panniers and virtually every other bike gadget going (including tinkling bell for pedestrians and a siren for cars !). Pic to be posted later. The end...

Gave the Woosh Bikes a Test Yesterday

Wow, that is a massive difference - thanks for the tip :)

New wheel build - am I biting off more than I can chew ?

Thanks awol. My Cannondale is most definitely matt apart from the name which is in gloss (you can hardly read it !) so I will have a hunt around for a matt solution. Going to get one of those Pentel pens though to touch up my old racing bike prior to selling it.

Thoughts on my first e-bike build

Hi - just an apology to DynatechFan as somehow I made a mistake and marked this post as offensive - did not mean to do it and must not have had my reading glasses on ! Not sure how the forum software works and whether other people could see my report but just in case you all could I want to set...

    Tyre pressure query

Thanks for all the useful advice :) As to weight, I am not so heavy but the bike certainly is ! It started off as an average hybrid bike at 12.28kg but it is significantly heavier now. I wish there was a way to weigh it but I can't think of an easy way to do it. I've got some luggage scales...

    Tyre pressure query

To return to my original post I have just looked at the Panaracer web site and in this case the 44psi marked on the tyre wall is the lowest recommended level. The site states their operational window is 44-73psi. I just shudder at the thought of how hard the ride would be at 73 although to be...

    Tyre pressure query

A bit off topic but how feasible/wise would it be to have two fairly radically different tyres on the bike ? At the moment I have Panaracer Comet Hardback tyres. These were supplied on the bike and I did not realise just how much they are designed for off-road use. These will have a lot of...

Thoughts on my first e-bike build

Yesterday was an extremely sunny day and it spoilt my ride a bit as every tiny piece of glass shone out like tiny daggers waiting to pierce my tyres. It is extraordinary how much of it was around and gave rise to a dilemma. There is a cycle track alongside a dual carriageway in the outskirts...

    Tyre pressure query

No wonder I am feeling every bump as I have mine at the max pressure ! I could have also saved myself a few quid as I had to go out and buy one of those stirrup type pumps as putting 44psi in with my little bike pump was too much of a tall order. First job of the day is to reduce them and I am...
