inside the BMS of a Lithium battery pack

That’s what I am hoping to do when my new battery arrives :D The arrival of my new LiFePO4 (from Ping - being tested now) should herald great adventures and travels – my present lead acid limiting me to 7.5 miles. Unfortunately, I always want to know how things work. So, I’m trying to find...

inside the BMS of a Lithium battery pack

Excuse me chantelauze for jumping onto your thread but I have some questions about BMS'. I don't know if it's me but this whole BMS thing is beyond me. Even flecc's page says: "And here's a close up of those printed circuits, five in all, giving individual monitoring of each cell. Again...

    Surely an April Fool's Day?

If this is an April fool prank, then was it a wise thing to do? Was the purpose to wind up the readers of the Blog? I thought the purpose of a Blog was to communicate life, etc, to the faithful followers. Hardly fair on the faithful followers, if the Blogg owner is going to take the p*** at...

Death Threats For Online Vigilante Cyclist

Looks like you found a loop hole. So the law supports cyclists who sometimes feel obliged to use the pavement out of fear of traffic and who show consideration to other pavement users when doing so. Point taken and well done you two :D .

Death Threats For Online Vigilante Cyclist

HarryB: Reach for the Sky – very good film. Kenneth Moore – liked him as an actor (really liked him in Father Brown). Dougie Bader – someone else who liked taking risks. Lost both his legs when he crashed his plane while messing about over a runway. Just take care and stay ahead of those...

Death Threats For Online Vigilante Cyclist

Sounds like a clever insult  I don't loose any sleep over the fact that other cyclists deliberately break the law and put peoples safety at risk just because they feel the law does not apply to them at that moment in time. In the end, if someone hurts someone while riding on the...

Death Threats For Online Vigilante Cyclist

Cameras distortions aside - I find it refreshing that someone has decided to rattle the cager’s cage. Sometime actions speak louder than words. As for people like Nigel Havers, who obviously (from the newspaper article) has a personal dislike for overly assertive cyclists. He’s only sounding...

wet weather getting you down ...?

Clever idea - I like it. However, it seems a bit expensive for what it is 269€ :o Thick clear plastic, waterproof canvas and two dome tent poles. Someone with a bit of time and ingenuity could make something similar for a lot less ;) .

    Cycle helmets debate

Now that's funny :D (Sorry Jeremy) I'm sure Jeremy will explain things  I have to admit that I'm not a regular helmet wearer, sometimes I do sometimes I don't. I have hit the tarmac a few times (never wearing a helmet) and I can say from experience - it hurts. More by luck...

Dilemma with replacing my SLA batteries

Thankyou Jeremy. I did some searching and, as you say, the BMS should be part of the battery pack. Think I've messed about long enough - I've just sent an email to Li Ping - so I've started the ball rolling :) .

Dilemma with replacing my SLA batteries

Thanks Beeping-Sleauty I tried emailing you but not able to do so, that option is being blocked. So I will have to contact you via the forum. I know very little about electrics, etc, and I have a feeling I'm going to make myself look foolish now, but I have to ask this - what's a battery...

Dilemma with replacing my SLA batteries

Thankyou Erik for posting the link. Before I email Li Pings - Was this pack a special build just for you? Or was this one "off the shelf" so to speak? No dimensions on the packs so don't know sizes. .
