    First ladies ebike recommendations

I'm intrigued. What e-bikes have you ordered?

    First ladies ebike recommendations

You're making sweeping assumptions that all e-bikes behave the way the few (apparently very few) you've ridden do. They don't. Whether hub driven or mid-driven, much of the way an e-bike behaves is down to how the controller has been programmed, and that can vary wildly. Only the very cheapest...

I am looking for a partner to produce an add-on torque sensor for the BBS01

Will the BBS survive at all once the newer M325/M625 part of Bafangs offering has been further fleshed out? CanBus/battery restrictive updates of the BBS's they may be, but still cadence sensor and otherwise very, very similar. But I notice references in the M325/M625 manual... "only with...

    Spokes breaking

IMHO, spokes are something an owner should be checking as part of a routine bike check every now and then, any found to have slackened off being re-tightened. It takes just a few minutes with a YT video and a £3/£5 spoke key. I'm heavy and sometimes ride slightly rougher ground, so that's why...

    Dahon UNIO

This Dahon US website page here says: DAHON also celebrated the following achievements last year [2021]: Successfully registered dozens of patents. Had a great increase in sales compared to 2019 and 2020. Developed production facilities in Romania and also another European-free-trade-zone...

    Electric Cargo Bikes

There was an Amazon one rolling around here a while back... but now all I see are electric Sprinters. My guess is they're too small for the number/size of packages needed to make a delivery route viable... at least here (3 miles from the nearest Amazon warehouse).

    Dahon UNIO

It's shown on both Dahon's US and EU website(s) as a 2024 model. Perhaps the write-ups seen are early pre-production models just to gauge market reaction? Only Halfords are listed as both official UK Dahon Distributors and Retailers on the official website (no C H White in Wiltshire being shown...

[UK] Dad looking to buy <£1200 foldable e-bike ASAP - please help! (Fiido, Raleigh, Engwe, Woosh)

Welcome to the forum Riderx! I'd say they're all credible options for the money... and they'll all be compromised in some way or another to meet their respective price points: That doesn't make any of them technically "bad" or "unsafe". Some will have better features in one area, and another...

    Tsdz2 Q-Factor and ankle pain

Having both Torque sensor and Cadence sensor bikes, I would definitely choose the latter with an ankle problem. Maybe time to retire the TSDZ for a BBS?

    Help! Hello from Eddie

You're going to have to be more specific - or post photos/details of what exactly is fitted. From Googling, I'm reading this bike is another of those Millets/GoOutdoors/Amazon/Auction clearance bikes from recently bankrupt distributor Moore Large where the bike is supposed to have a Dapu-P...

I am looking for a partner to produce an add-on torque sensor for the BBS01

History shows Bafang don't rest on their laurels. Wasn't it ES who discovered a more reliable hall for their BBS (patchy memory here)? Bafang listened, changed, adopted it. I doubt development of the M series was driven by any fear of threat from competition, rather that they could so they did...

I am looking for a partner to produce an add-on torque sensor for the BBS01

I suspect you'll know better than anyone else here, but don't you think Bafang have already thought about/considered/already designed such a thing? With Bafang's rich heritage of motor manufacture, robust/proven catalogue of products (including the M series with that torque sensor), they must...

How to find a trustworthy bike shop if…

Good choice... I'd just order a Rambletta now and stop fretting/going around in circles: It's a great value choice, meets the things you've said you're looking for (apart from a torque sensor), and supplied by a great company who engages with their customers (of which there are many happy ones...

How to find a trustworthy bike shop if…

That's often the way with Cycle Schemes - they cost money to administer and often there just isn't the margin there for a retailer to suck those fees up. Every time I see low-cost bikes with Cycle Scheme advertised, I suspect there's something hooky going on because it just can't be done...

    Wisper 705 Problems

You had nothing to lose by giving it a try, especially considering the cost of replacing it. You never know the condition of the battery when buying second hand, so really do need to assume its toast and factor that into the price.

    Saddle sore

Having just looked at my own saddle/seat-post again, I think I understand (I have done this once before)... With the bolt and side-clamps removed, you need to push/slide the saddle as far forward as possible so the rear of the saddle where the rails are widest are over the post, and then the...

    Wisper 705 Problems

If the battery had been sitting unused for a long period, cycling (putting it through a few charge/discharge cycles) can help re-balance the cells. The test will be putting it on the bike and seeing how far you get. Good luck.

How to find a trustworthy bike shop if…

It's not really the wheelbase that matters though, is it? (IIRC the Rambletta is about 4" longer): What counts from a fit perspective is the reach between saddle and handlebars, and in that respect AFAIK there's little in it (and options to change reach/height with a riser bar for very little)...
