The loss of D8veh and Flecc would be a massive blow to the membership. All the knowledge and free support they offer. Perhaps RScott should offer them a cut of the revenue?

    1000w ebike ???

So the question was has anything legal been banned due to illegal use. Evidence says yes. The Q was asked as could illegal bike use get pedelecs banned. Obviously illegal use has had many things banned. Therefore silly illegal bikes risk the free use of pedelecs. A 250 watt bike with cutout at...

    1000w ebike ???

Section 5 is quite explicit. Yes you can access some wpns. But fulbore pistols, sawn off shotguns, APFSDS are all illegal.

    1000w ebike ???

Full bore handguns are now banned, as are automatic weapons. And knifes now require a lot more care. When I were a lad as a 5 year old I could buy a knife and use it for cutting wood etc.

    My new 31 year old "e-bike" !

To keep it legal it's one motor. And the under seat steering is classic for a recumbent. The whole recumbent scene is about comfort and efficiency ( well speed is efficient ). As an idea velomobiles are popular but very expensive now. It's the it costs more than a car problem. A cheap velo the...

    1000w ebike ???

By not selling illegal kit, or kit that can easily be made illegal Dave has a defence. If the law changes because someone else F's about then it is tough on a responsible seller. Not very fair. If Daves competition is bankrupted then Dave can look sad and smug as a remaining legal dealer. How...

    Nominal Power misunderstood?

I hear you memac. It is legal if you happen to have access to fenced private land. And some people take the risk and ride them anyway. If you are careful and behave unless you have an accident the risk is low. But as you note if something happens then the **** that follows could cost you your...

    Hi, newbie from Cornwall

Tech hasn't changed to allow 48volts, it's just adding another 12 battery in series. And lining them up in parallel Alows big current. The only real change has been in reducing weight.

    Electric bike experience so far

Today I shall be cheating with the 120 hp engine in my car. I have a sniffle but still have to work. Tomorrow perhaps it's the bike with the 8fun cheat system. To commute, it seems as if I cheat perminantly. Unless I go for the bickerton.

    From Leeds to Thurso

Ok you are a cyclist with a track bike. A converted hybrid would be my recommendation. As a good bike, reasonable performance. With assist for hills and carrying hubbys spares( you will eat the miles). You need to find the nearest bike shop. And test ride quite a few bikes. In general a torque...

    From Leeds to Thurso

30 to 40 km per day isn't much at all. How tight is the time and budget. How fit are you, what do you need to carry. A new budget bike might be better rather than risk spoiling a holiday. Have you a bike already ? A kit could electrify that too. Have a look at pennydreamers blog for her...
