For any type of serious offroading there is no point going above 250w..yes the extra power might be handy, but the limitation is definitely the battery. Think if it was instant motor would be switching on and off as you pedal. ( if its sensing torque) I think yam has both torque and speed sensor but not sure which one takes precedent switching motor off.. Having used mine for about 50 miles off road I can see point with the Bosch not switching...

Made up a Velcro strap that wraps around battery/ frame..totally eliminates rattling...takes 10 seconds to fit/ remove.. Another 21 miles today..used 45%.. Fantastic bike.

Flecc totally OT but You can buy a Rotrex supercharger capable of being driven mechanically from engine who,s blades rotate at upto 250 000 rpm. Not many years ago that was impossible for a supercharger.( its not a turbo) You can buy a micro battery ( had one for starting jetski,s) that will...
