You are the only rep I know who answers by ridiculising those who want to talk to you. I have no problem dealing directly with Chinese sales and tech support people, they are always curteous, detailed and helpful. If you don't know or have not got the information, just say so instead of beating...

Your motor is arranged in the same way as the TSDZ2 judging by the pictures. Can you show us how your DM-02 remedies the heat dissipation problem? This is the amount of effort to deal with overheating when you want to push the motor. The video takes half an hour to watch, the guy spent much...

agreed. The old post was at 10AM, the new post was at 4AM. Brain fade? I don't know. I rarely post at 4AM. FOC is a very interesting subject but I agree that it is off topic here. Which model did you order? I hope you'll post a review soon.

no, you are wrong on efficiency and we can discuss this later, I need to go back to sleep. At my age, I wake up for a few hours in the night and usually play chess to get back to sleep but still need 6 hours sleep.

He wasn't interested in increasing torque and speed at the same time, he wants to maintain his cadence (about 90rpm, at that cadence, the OSF would have applied field weakening) and speed but does not want the drop in assistance when the battery is sagging. if you followed my posts on the other...

If I am not mistaken, I think Bosch measures both the pedalling torque and the motor output torque through their gearbox.

You are hairsplitting. The controller picks up the torque signal from the torque sensor, in this instance, the fixed coil. I learned that stuff when I was 17 for my bac and I am now a pensioner. It was a long time ago. I wasn't educated here but the courses are about the same. Let's go back to...

let's not fight over that again but correct me please if I am wrong. The rotating part acts as a passive load. The Hall sensor, the one stuck on the shaft, is used as an amplifier. It is powered by the rotating coil by induction. The latter (induction) is produced by the fixed coil. When a...

A good motor will find its way onto bikes which compete directly with Bosch bikes. In that sense, Bosch compete with other motor manufacturers.

Is this going to be a size competition? If it is, then you have already won. I have never been attracted by the OSF firmware because Tongsheng replace any faulty parts under guarantee. So when you told me where the code for the PAS is, I followed up your link and start reading it on my phone...

I bought a 36V TSDZ2 about 5 years ago for testing. I opened it once, when it was brand new to take a look. I liked it, so I imported it directly from Tongsheng but asked them for their 48V 250W version. As it was a brand new motor, I wasn't fault finding and did not notice the PAS sensor on the...

Your DM01 is better targeted. You should make a 250W version of it. Your DM02 repeats the same mistakes found in the TSDZ2, so adding fins, a fan or thermal compound will help but they are wasted opportunities.

I am not an expert but here is your competition, circa 5 years ago: Note how short the rotor shaft is? The rotor shaft gets a lot of stress, you want it as short as possible and the ball bearings on at both ends as big as possible to spread the stress and wear. the winding: They use flat...

the air gap we have problem with in the TSDZ2 is between the motor and the system housing. In most crank drive motors, the motor housing has cooling fins and is in direct contact with the outside air for better cooling. It's not the case with the TSDZ2 and your DM02 which are housed inside the...

it was a simple mix-up. Oztrikes repeated your line 'The stator is tightly fitted into a machined housing now.' This is what he wrote: "There's a picture of the stator in a machined housing. , Is that enough for it not to be a copy for you mate? At what point does it not become a copy to you...

The problem of that blogpost is not the command of the English language but the banality and lack of knowledge and or naivety of the writer. You can judge it for yourself, here is the main text: https://to7motor.com/mid-drive-motor-vs-hub-motor/

which picture are you taking about? Is it this one? You and Alex keep calling this part 'the stator in a machined housing'. Are you two connected because you both make the same mistake? It's not a stator. This part rotates, that's why it has a ballbearing attached to it, and is called the...
