That picture shows the brake cable runs above the motor instead of under the bottom bracket. An issue still not fixed. As for no air gap between the motor and the case, we need to see a picture of the innards. As at present, it looks like a copy.

You have just joined 51 minutes ago and instead of introducing yourself, you jumped straight into calling regular posters trolls and tongsheng fan boys. The last time the word fanboys was used on the forum was also in this thread by a guy who gave to7 10 out if 10. Strange coincidence. Perhaps...

    Puncture proof tyres

soon I hope. Actually, it looks easy to DIY your own bicycle tyres. The material is sold as a coil, you only need to wrap the coil around the rim and put a rolling band over it.

I have not been interested in those hacking stories before, but recently, watched a guy on youtube demonstrating how to do reverse SSH with netcat, how easy it is to attack wireless IP cams, how to make a 'bad stick', a USB stick that claims it's a keyboard. It's frankly scary. I switched off...

Strangely enough, they have a real opportunity to bring something new. Both the BBS01 And TSDZ2 are ripe for a major upgrades. On their website, there is an interesting picture of a small motor and separate gearbox similar to cyclone kits. I don't know if they make this motor though...

Am I an engineer? No, at least not a mechanical engineer. I have worked mostly in IT since 1980 and I became a 'grease monkey' in the workshop in the last 12 years because I have type 2 diabetes and need a part time physical job to stay healthy. Still, I have assembled bikes, fitted kits and...

How to find a trustworthy bike shop if…

If you want to ride unassisted, you'd need a frame that is rigid but still has a bit of flex. Too rigid, it'll sap your energy, flex in wrong places, even worse. That's why Bromptons are so well liked. They atre strong and flex in the right places. I converted my cheap Brompton B75 and take it...

The topic is how to market a new product in the Internet age. Here is a new company with products that look much like others. How will it create a good image? The problem they have here is they rely on people without technical skills to answer technical questions. The specific issue with their...

let's take an example so the numbers will help you make sense. Your bike has 26" wheels, a 44T chainring, 8-speed and you fit a 36V BBS01 motor. You climb a hill on maximum throttle at 70rpm and your motor produces 80NM at the chainring. 70RPM is the rotational speed = 70/60 * 2 * PI radians/s =...

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

No, it's not correct. The torque on a crank drive is measured at the chainring. For the same torque, you need the same power at the motor. The principle is called conservation of energy. The different arrangement of cogs in the gearbox does not change that. The 40:1 is the overall ratio of...
