Woosh Sport CD review - anyone?

^^ was the owner pulling away using the throttle ?

I've decided hub rather than cd

I can quite understand why you've gone that route :).

Anyone had an interesting ride recently ?

 ... that's pretty much what all my trunk road rides are like ! Isn't this abnormal when you get overtaken at speed ?

    New build.

What bits aren't you happy with ? a +ve thing - it's nice not to have those velcro straps wrapping all over the frame tubes !

    Another Battery tale of woe

    .... in which case it's more expensive ? :)

How do I know my battery/controller is 100% watertight?

Not sure what bits you're worried about as I've never looked at a Woosh bike closely. Bit of extra insulation never hurts for peace of mind if it troubles you. Tape's fine - provided it doesn't fall off at the 1st sign of water or damp ! Depending on where you want to use it I'm a big fan of...

I've decided hub rather than cd

Just one thought on the front vs rear hub thing if you're likely to ride on gravel or loose ground at all then I'd personally opt for a rear hub setup.

If you don't have twist throttles then need to make a thumb throttle with no spring :). Just need a brake cutoff and don't forget to turn it off or hold the brake on when you stop. Grips provide enough resistance to set assistance at the level you want (infinitely variable across the range) and...

I guess if you've only ridden singlespeeds then gears could be confusing. But hub gears are easy to get used to. Low gear = low resistance = good for climbing hills Middle gear = middle resistance = good for ambling along on the flat High gear = high resistance = good for getting extra...

So ... kits and hot-rodding to be separated ?

Just spotted the 2 new categories for posts about conversion kits and supercharging bikes / non-250W speed-limited ones. The moderators are going to be busy moving posts for a while :p. On the plus it might put an end to the whingeing about the extent of such content in the general threads...

Sorry to read about your problems. Unfortunately all bikes can be fragile things in the wrong hands (that includes delivery guys and some mechanics) and I guess if the guard was fitted prior to shipping they may be looking at whether they can claw back something from the courier or insurance...

So I've tried a few but still confused

^^ really interesting review and great news you're happy with it. Sounds like a nicely built bike. It's interesting also that the mini u-lock won't go through the frame & rear wheel even on a bike with a rack battery. I just caved in and bought a big Pragmasis 1.5m chain with closed shackle...

Is there a fuse on my bike?!

That doesn't look good. Seeing things like this makes me look back and realize how lucky I was to have only ripped up a motor lead and blown a charger during 4 months of learning some fundamentals. Can never check too many times it seems !

Advice sought for suitable workstand for step thro Woosh

+1 for the Park Tool stands - I bought a PCS-10 for the Agattu which is a step-through. It's good for single action lever clamping of tubes up to 3". The clamp is really easy to use, top quality etc. and will be fine I am pretty certain. You can also easily rotate the angle of the clamp to...

    Riding on pavements !!

I can empathize with all written above. But I still can't bring myself to ride on a pavement except in serious circumstances.
