    Anyone been out and about?

Unfortunately not me, I've had my cube for just over 3 months now and covered nearly 800 miles and enjoyed every one of them. It's been two weeks today since my last ride and I'm getting serious withdrawal symptoms, a trapped nerve in my back has slowed me down to little more than a shuffle and...

An offer too good to refuse?

As Rob said, if it's the model you want, go for it ! I strugled to justify spending big money on my Cube reaction, now it don't even think about the cost, I'm to buissy enjoying riding it:)

    Cycle Paths

That's the price you pay for walking on a shared usage cycle/footpath, if you don't like it just walk on pedestrians only footpaths :p And dire straits,

    Nuseti inner drive

I like it, I like it a lot, shame I'm to knackered to ever do one justice. Still, I can look at the pictures while nursing my sciatica ;) The older I get, the better I was:p

    Cutting Edge Design ;o)

I'd want paying to ride that thing, even then I'd need a full face helmet so I won't be recognised

    Punctures

Hum, I wonder ? As I had my first flat on my new cube last week, I went to get my bike out only to find a compleatly flat 2.2" tyre, there was a thorn in the tyre but the tube was loose inside so the hole in it didn't quite line up with the thorn in the tyre and after patching & re-inflating I...

    Cycle Paths

I can see both sides of this discussion as a lot of paths a badly laid out with no continuity, twisting & turning, some even take me up a side street before crossing a junction ! As I drive to work at 5.30 most mornings the cycle paths are clear but I am regularly held up by the same cyclist...

    Cycle Paths

I had an electronic horn and also found it ineffective so I brought a louder one, again, it was ignored :( I then noticed there was some little reaction from the footpads but it was more confusion than recognising an on coming bike. I have recently spent big (£1.49) on an old fashioned bell...

    What's my Agattu worth?

I don't want to rain on your parade but:( My Agattu owened it from new (2008) and did less than 900 miles, eventually sold for £300 :( http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/kalkhoff-agattu.15873/#post-212622 I'm sure if I'd put it on eBay, I may well have got a bit more  But I didn't...

    New Yamaha unit, more details

Well Martin, I have the new Bosch system in my new cube reaction 29er and love it, so I would really like to hear how it stands up against the Yamaha system ?

Speakers on an ebike - any thoughts?

I'm not condoning your desires because I think it's mad, but I do think you have the right to be mad if you want to . You could try some motorcycle helmet speakers in your lid, if you don't wear a helmet you could graft them into a baseball cap somehow. Cheap enough to have a go ;)...

Brighten up the forum a little :)

I'm keeping mine as it is, I use it on other forums. For a little brightness here's a picture I took earlier this year

    Skyride!

Hi Johnny Some time ago I got registered and then as far as the booking in page for one local ride only to find a restriction on all powered bikes. (Hidden somewhere in the rules) There may be some ride leader discretion ( should you contact them ) But I was sitting on the fence wether or not to...

    Electronic mapping

Nice find Phil. I've been looking at that option on the OS website, you've people are cheaper for the self same service. Unfortunately in the scale I want they both cover 20 km sq & my chosen area would need to be 25sq km. I know I'm being fussy but I don't like to compromise.;)

    Electronic mapping

Thanks for the responses folks. I'm not sure I'll be needing gps or any fancy tracking stuff, just a better way of carrying maps. Most of the time I know roughly where I am, every now and again i see a new track or byway, a map will tell me where it goes and I'm less likely to cycle up a dead...

    Electronic mapping

Here's one for the tech minded folk. OS Explorer 1:25000 maps are perfect, showing byways & bridalways, unfortunately I am located at a crossover area for this series of maps and need to use the corners & edges of several std maps to cover my local biking area. I don't want to carry 2 or 3 maps...
