    Splitter for lighting?

So is it safer from the controller lines then? I had a display wire short once, the smoke coming off it was incredible!

    Splitter for lighting?

What I might do instead is use the controller plug for the rear then splice a front with horn and switch to the battery itself

Was going to use one of these or is it too powerful...

    Splitter for lighting?

I thought the light output on controllers was normally set at battery voltage, hence the need for lights with buck converter? At any rate the main reason I'm wanting to do this is my rear light keeps dying without me realising, if I have them hardwired this won't happen. I can still run a usb...

    Splitter for lighting?

Ah so if I buy as a set that's how it works? Was just going to get a cheap "motorbike light" from eBay and this tail light: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electric-Bike-Scooter-Rear-Tail-Safety-Light-Warning-E-bike-Brake-Lamp-Universal/372522437762

    Splitter for lighting?

I want to install lights via the controller, most only come with 1 light output. Is there a splitter I can buy with the jst connectors so I can run both front and rear?

    Child/Cargo Carrying Bikes? Any?

No need for a cargo bike, get a weehoo trailer and any bike that will allow a pannier rack with clearance for the towbar. I go on plenty of adventures with this setup. Mind I had to upgrade to 48v to feel comfortable pulling it up hills. If the child(ren?) are still quite young then a...

    Wind sucks

Most of my journeys I have to keep it locked outside one way so nothing I can do about that. Although bringing in the battery to charge doesn't seem to affect range either so cold weather just eats range in general

    Wind sucks

Thing is this battery should have been adequate, I probably just need a controller that's more efficient with its power use, the fact that this belts full amps out on any setting doesn't help, KT controllers limit the amps instead of the voltage, which is the way it should be as you get full...

    Wind sucks

I had a spare with my old bike that came in handy, I just don't have 200 quid lying around or I'd get one. Easy to find being a hailong case though

    Wind sucks

I thought 48v 13ah should be more than enough for 15 miles, though at full whack with a gigantic hill in the cold maybe this was a bit optimistic. On a flatter route I do regularly in the same conditions I achieve the same milage with 4.6v, this battery is pretty much spent at 4.3v so I probs...

    Wind sucks

Thanks to brutal wind my battery died with a mile and a half uphill left, had a monster hill on my journey which didn't help. I should probably learn to knock the Pas settings down... My display has option to limit amps, unfortunately it doesn't actually do anything, motor pulls 15a most of the...

    Another what bike? Thread

For light trail use definitely get a hardtail, full suspension is overkill and more money. A few of the big brands have a Bosch drive hardtail in your budget range that should serve you well, cube, haibike and Scott spring to mind.

    more of this please

Lol where is this? That's bloody stupid having to give way because you're in a bike lane, presuming you mean one that's actually part of the road? None of ours are like that in the Tyne and wear area, but we do have the problem of lanes that end in a way that puts you in a vulnerable position...

    Frame size

Should be fine, saddles go up pretty high on modern MTBs. If the bars feel too close just get a longer stem. To be sure maybe go try one out first if you can, or ask for a test ride

    Oxygen mtb frame size

I'm 5.7, my Carrera is 18" and honestly I could probably go next size up which is 20". I like big bikes though. I had a cheapie MTB, think it was a 19" frame but it was really tall. I loved that bike though, wish I converted it tbh

    Hills and Ebikes.

My hot rodded Carrera will climb anything, but it murders the battery on steeper climbs. A mid drive doesn't have this issue as long as you make full use of the gears. A mid drive costs more though most of the time, a powerful hub like the ones woosh uses will probably be fine for most...
