    Brexit, for once some facts.

We have 10 oil fired and 32 gas fired powerstations at the moment. years ago, some of them were converted from coal fired powerstations to oil fired then to gas fired or dual fuel. The process took about 2 months. If they could do that in 2 months, then they can convert them to dual fuels in a...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I agree that's a scam but I look at the issue differently. Traditionally, oil fired powerstation is the most expensive to run, so only used when other powerstations (gas, nuclear, renewables) have been used. Let's say the wholesale price of gas has gone up 600% in a year. In that time, the...

I like what she said about BJ's achievements just now at the door of No10: delivered brexit, covid vaccine and support for Ukraine. Compare that to what BJ said himself yesterday at the same place. Not a huge endorsement from Truss for his 3 years of tenure and at considerable cost to us all...

I can't see BJ going back to No10 in my lifetime. There is precious little time left between now and the next general election when Starmer is more likely to form a government. The only way that Liz Truss' economic policy would work is like Patrick Minford said, let the market decides, low taxes...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

this idea of capping energy price for the whole country was floated back in July. I can't remember if it was Labour's idea but in essence, the statisticians reckon that doing so would cut inflation rate by 3%-3.5%. I am all for it.

conservative membership is the key to all this. They own the shares of the energy companies.

no, why give money to customers? That would be seen as a handout. all that money goes straight to the energy generating and gaz companies so to cut price at source.

she is a better tactician than TM though. Her forthcoming plan to pay £100 billions to the energy companies in the next two years while cancelling all windfall taxes on them will get her approval ratings up.

bosch mid drive retrofit controller ever done?

I can see that you have done a fair bit of thinking about this. Assuming that you re-use only motor and gearbox, how much do you think that this project is going to cost?

bosch mid drive retrofit controller ever done?

I don't think you can use a KT controller on your dad's Bosch bike. It's a locked system, like the phones. You can't turn on the battery without the Bosch LCD and the Bosch controller inside the motor. The simplest solution is to go see a Bosch dealer.

there are no easy answers to control the price of energy. You have to stop gas and electricity from flowing through pipes to and from other countries before you can control their price.

Help! Cannot find a bike for someone my size in UK at all!

If you use your gears sensibly, chain and sprocket wear is unimportant for 250w crank drives. You have to change gear a little in advance. The main disadvantage is hill start in the wrong gear.

Avoid dragging if at all possible. You can just about roll it folded if you absolutely have to drag it up a few steps. I would not call it a roll though, certainly not like a Brompton. If you take a folding bike on a train, push it all the way inside the train and fold it when parked. Most...

they are two models, one with the zoom monoshock fork the other with aluminium rigid fork. The reason for a rigid fork is not so much to offer a cheaper option, it's just that the standard telescopic stem is a tad too tall for riders under 5ft2. Short riders if they sit too upright, they can't...

Have you seen how bad Sterling is doing at the moment? That's 13% drop in the last 6 months against the US Dollar. whichever bike you decide on, you should buy it soon. Prices can only go up with rampant inflation. I have no choice than increasing my prices too. The Rambletta will go up...
