Short distance folding ebike to put in the boot of my EV

Most customers sail right through the job. A few need clarifications so although it's a bit harder selling kits compared to bikes but on the other hand, picking parts for a kits and pack them up take only a few minutes so overall, it's not a bad business. It's just that we don't have much time...

Are you going to keep the rim? Most conversion kits come with a completely made up wheel, motor, rim, spokes and rim tape. Building a motor wheel with that old rim is not only time consuming, it also does not save you any money.

we supply the kits with cablesets made to fit so you only have a minimum of excess wires. That reduces the risk of electrical faults. That's why I can only offer kits for typical setups where there is enough volume. The only time I entertained a customer's request to install an HL downtube...

The bags have hard shells with clips. You don't have to strap it but I would strap it in, belt and braces. The pack is not boltable but the hard shell may be drilled and bolted. I will supply batteries to trade but am not ready yet.

You can install or strap a bag battery to the rack but you can't strap a rack battery to the seat post. This is a 48V 10AH bag battery (2kgs) for my TSDZ2 and BBS01ET, the connectors are normally inside the bag:

the main issue with other folding bikes than the Brompton is how and where to attach the battery. I am making 3 bag batteries for them, one to go into a saddle bag, the two others are in tube bags and can be attached to either the top tube or the downtube. They weigh between 1.3kgs-2kgs, so it's...

    Review DALY BMS - Beware when buying!!! - 13S 48V 40A - See Images

I can see that your pack is carefully built, but without knowing the story behind it (was it a replacement, which controller you use) and whether the BMS has a soft switch, reverse current protection, charging current protection etc, it's difficult to guess why your BMS died. It could be...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

what we should do is to do what Gordon Brown did for the 2008 banking crisis. Call up a G7 meeting and thrash out a plan. Countries that import gas agree to cut about 10% of their gas imports, countries that export gas need to increase their export. That will stop the hedge funds betting on ever...

those estimates are fanciful. In 2020, freight costs went up 1,000% for similar reasons. Then it was covid. Now it's Ukraine. It's not like the world is short of natural gas or other fossil fuels. I was looking this afternoon at 5kw-20kw Chinese wind turbines, they cost about £2,000-£4000, very...

    Durable Mountain/City Bike around £2000-3000.

I'd like to go down stairs sometimes too, but I reckon you'd need good full air suspensions for that like Soundwave's bike. Mid range bikes have coil front suspension, OK for normal roads but not offroad. Maybe he'd sell his to you for much less than you would expect. I have a second hand Sunn...

yes, you can do that (use your legs at over 15mph) at anytime, like when going downhill. The motor has an internal clutch that eliminates 95%+ of drag or binding. Only the road illegal direct drive motor kits sold on the net have significant magnetic binding when pedalling without power. Not...

no, we are not saying that you should just forget about electrification because you want to derestrict your bike or bikes. The law as it stands let you have a fast electric bike if you so want, you have to wear a helmet, share the road with cars where you ride because you are not allowed on...

for commuting, you should consider a hub motor and puncture proof tyres. They require the least maintenance and likely have lower depreciation. If you want to derestrict your bike, then consider a conversion. For long distance, cadence sensor has the advantage over torque sensor because you can...

I have stopped selling the TS kit because the factory that made it has gone out of business. I still have spares for it but looking to the future, it may be best to revert it back to cadence sensing. @Nosweat: please email support@wooshbikes.co.uk - we'll try to find a solution for you.
