    Water sports

Every time this thread pops up, it reminds me of my time living in Germany. Water sports had a different meaning for me over there

how reliable are the bafang mid drives to maintain ?

Pretty much the same as kinninvie, BBS02, 2500 miles, reprogrammed for performance far greater than factory spec. Majority of riding is forest tracks, off road terrain etc.. Only had to relube the final drive a couple of times, as it gets a little noisy over time. Easy job to carry out though.

    Bike maintenance stand

Every now and again, Aldi offer a perfectly good bike stand for around 25 quid. Or check out this one. It might be all you need to do light maintenance: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/bike-foldable-and-portable-workstand.19991/

Has anyone actually seen a Renault Twizy on the road?

Do you get positive or negative reactions from other road users Andy?

Maybe they should rename it Renault Big Foot lol

Has anyone actually seen a Renault Twizy on the road?

Living in Sunderland, I suppose it's highly unlikely that I will see a Twizy on the road, as the Nissan Leaf tends to be the electric weapon of choice. But has anyone actually seen a Twizy out on the public highway?

Wanted: Bike for £500-750, good power output for 6ft bloke

Judging by your first post, you are alright about taking the risk of riding an assisted bike at the speeds quoted. Their fully built 'Magnetic' model will certainly get you the speeds you want, and just squeezes in at the top end of your budget. Remember, this is a brand new bike with...

BBS01 programming - that doesn't fry the controller

Just to add to brightonebike's comments, the 'Keep Current' setting at 20% is great for economy and cruising. When it comes to hills though, it tends to force the motor to bog down, as it wants more current to run optimally. The system is already limiting the current when in PAS modes other...

I'm looking to buy an Oxygen S-Cross CB

I agree. Unless you're riding hardcore style offroad, then I can't see you having any problems with that bike.

I'm with you on that one. Off to room 101 with inferior sounding cassettes lol.

What to do when the weather's too naff to go for a ride...

Yer not wrong. Was in HMV the other day, and some of the albums were 20 quid plus. I balk at the cost of FLAC downloads these days, but as you say, at least they are free from crackles and pops lol.

What to do when the weather's too naff to go for a ride...

What's the alternative to going for a ride when the weather's naff? Dust off the vinyl LP's and relive the good old days lol. It doesn't get any better than this: The sound of vinyl beats FLAC and MP3 any day :)

Change 'Keep Current' to 100%, you'll notice a big difference in performance.

BBS01 programming - that doesn't fry the controller

You don't need Microsoft Office, but you may need to unzip the files, as they are compressed. If you've already unzipped the files, then find the controllerst.exe file and run that. If on the other hand you are having a problem actually downloading the software, then after you have clicked on...

    laser tailight turn signal gizmo

Can you confirm that the rechargeable lithium battery is for the laser only, and can be operated without this? Other features look good, especially as Phil mentions, if it's got a built in decelerometer for brake light function. I must admit, I do like the look of the seat on the bike in the...

TSDZ2 vs BBS-HD which would you chose?.

Power aside, you've got to think about long term reliability and down time of electric bikes. You are far more likely to be able to acquire replacement parts for the BBSHD, than the TSDZ2. Plus, there is a greater wealth of knowledge on maintaining the Bafang units, especially over on Endless...
