    Brexit, for once some facts.

I went to my dentist the other day and all the nurses were wearing full face clear plastic visors, with a close fitting border, and, I imagine, a battery powered pump/fan/filter to maintain clean airflow. Seemed quite a decent approach for some medical workers. Price? Surely less than the cost...

E could be right and NI, S and W wrong. But out-of-step-hood is intrinsic, not something that can apply to one but not the other. Dance partners are either in or out of step with each other. But either or both could be in or out of step with the music. Whether they or the music changed the...

Grand plans have a tendency to fall flat. Especially under this government: The government has quietly backtracked on proposals to require every shop, office or factory in England to install at least one electric car charger if they have a large car park, prompting criticism by environmental...

Quoted (with attribution) in The Guardian. One reason I am questioning every figure is that almost none distinguish which vaccines have been received. Maybe AZ/AZ/PF is distinctly different to, say, PF/PF/PF? Throw in all the possible patterns, including Sinovax, Sputnik, etc., and you might...

When people do this sort of video, all the quirks of their speech and mannerisms come to the fore. And so many grate! (One reason I'd never do a video of this sort. :) ) I felt the colour of the hands was disappointing.

So pleased that Priti Patel has her brief so under control that she can divert her attention even to minor issues. Pubs, clubs and bars could be allowed to stay open for an extra two hours over next year's bank holiday weekend marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Home Secretary Priti Patel is...

Far from being just an Android app: Regularly £27.49/month https://www.pressreader.com/ (Possibly their IOS version will run on MacOS on M1 computers?) I am NOT a subscriber to it. I did decide to pay for The Guardian for many reasons, including their crosswords! Also, because I'd rather...

On another forum, someone posted a link to nytimes.com - and many people could not access it. Others could. Somewhat oddly, searching for the article, and seemingly seeing the same link in Google, you could access most of it. Whereas, following the posted link, you only saw the headline and...

I have absolutely, definitely never signed up to the Mail and don't give them any money. I don't know why I can access much of it without difficulty. I try to avoid quoting sources that are not openly accessible - at least to some extent. Of course, sometimes I will make a mistake or post anyway.
