    Brexit, for once some facts.

There was a video from one of the vendors, the guy drove his Nissan to the building site, plugged his jack hammer to his CHAdeMO and started digging. It was an easy sell. I expect the price will come down maybe toward £1,000-£1,500 with wider adoption of the CHAdeMO system by other car...

it seems that the market for V2H systems is still in its infancy. Only recent Nissan e-cars can do V2H, other cars can only be charged, not discharged through their charging socket. Prices seem high for these units, a ChAdeMO V2H 7KW unit costs well over £3,000 for what is essentially an inverter.

Thank you for pointing that out. the 100mm is the diameter of the 85SX motor shell casing. the dropout is 135mm. The data table on the web page is confusing. I'll fix it tomorrow.

has anyone made a feed-in kit to use the car's battery to power the house or sell spare capacity to the grid?

agreed. interbank interest rate at 20%, official inflation 9.2% and next week, the stock market in Moscow may be suspended. You can't run a modern economy under those conditions. Apparently, the expeditionary army that Putin sent to Ukraine needs urgently more tyres for their trucks. The war is...

I reckon the West can still indict Putin although I accept that the probability that he's dead is greater than that he would appear there.

most of that money were deposited in western banks and cannot be used at the moment because of the sanctions placed on The Central Bank of Russia. Those funds are in effect impounded, except in China. Putin has plenty of missiles but the West has plenty of banking systems.

they trade in Chinese RMB though. The FTSE reacted positively to the news. Still, I'd like to see Putin indicted in The Hague.

I fear that Putin is in a corner, he's no way out other than up the stake. I kind of think about the book 'Empire of the Sun', a story about the Japanese attacks on Shanghai in 1937.

with that number of troops? No, it can't be stopped unless Ukraine unconditionally surrenders. Putin made it clear enough. The West could not let Putin win so months of negotiation before the war started led to nowhere. I thought Putin would stop and negotiate after initial gain because the West...

Putin insisted that the Ukrainian army must surrender. That's quite a difference. It seems to me that Putin wanted a war.

it could not have been avoided. I agree with you on most points, especially the futility of wars. However, Putin came to Ukraine and lit the fire and he won't stop. Nobody knows how to stop the war, even Lavrov does not seem to know what Russian policy is. He kept repeating the same message...

that number may well have dwindled over the years, from 32% in 1996 to 11.8% in 2018. My guess it's not just in Russia but all over the world. Votes % Votes % Election Candidate First round Second round Result 1996 Gennady Zyuganov 24,211,686 32.03 30,102,288 40.31 Lost 2000...

China is surrounded by many countries that host USA's weapon systems but they are not constantly in conflict with the West. The idea that Russia without Putin will remain the same enemy of the West is hardly believable.

for reason that economic war is similar to military war, Both sides suffer. Statistically, countries with the bigger production capacity will wear out their opponents and prevail. Just look back at progress in the last 30 years. Sanctions if prolonged will roll back the Russian economy.

I doubt that. The first McDonald's in Moscow opened in 1990. A lot have changed since. Sanctions will put back years of economic progress. I watch Lavrov's interview this morning. He complained about the West filling Ukrainian heads with new ideas, presumably un-Russian, in the last 10 years. If...

I can understand that to some extent. I don't rank the Chinese one party state system higher than greedy capitalism and believe that on the long run though, there will be convergence between East and West.
