    dual voltage for more speed

It needn't be, if he backs off to climb a modest hill at the same speed as before the efficiency will stay the same, because when the hill levels out both top speeds will be the same. This may not hold true if the PAS levels don't allow such fine control or if climbing near the motor's gradient...

    dual voltage for more speed

If you were to ride the 48V version of your bike alongside the 36V version i.e. used the same way they'd have about the same efficiency and you wouldn't lose low speed performance, the controller and motor would act together like a 48 to 36 volt converter. It'll do what the 36V rig does about...

    Checking Multimeter Calibration at Home

I can't think of a real need for a clamp meter at home and they aren't very accurate, HTH.

Converting from Swytch to standard equipment

I'm seeing 'domain parked with GoDaddy' but downforeveryone tells me it's up. Defo favouritism at play here. You didn't mean a VPN's essential did you?

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 Yamaha (7 Month 1600 Miles)

Conversion to another mid-motor (because of part linking)? Bosch may use just 1 or 2 mounting styles and maybe they're common to multiple brands to keep frame cost down. @Woosh toyed with the idea of producing a BB adapter (outcome?). If a Bafang wouldn't fit I'd switch to a rear hub. The...

    talk about a learning curve!!

Thanks @Chuns for sharing the journey, there's as much to learn in what to do or not do and when as there is in how to do it.

    Wisper Failed Battery

I'm sure Wisper will be along but a third party view may be helpful. Top quality batteries can last a decade but respectable middle range batteries manage about 4 years. It's easy to overlook but the user guide usually says to top up every few months when not in use - nine months is a bit of...

What do you think of my new bike?

Good parts individually but it's said that long term an Alfine hub won't stand up to the torque of a BBS02, not many hubs will. It's much discussed on the web and my Nexus Premium 8 died at 4k along with its second Impulse motor in effect costing 5p/mile. Mustn't grumble, the motor cost...

Wisper We've bundled eBike security and I think we are the first!

Often-times you still get phone coverage in a lift, just sayin'.

What do you think of my new bike?

Pedals are personal, bikes are often sold without. From your accessories I'd keep the mudguards and propstand, with my favourite stem, suspension seatpost and the rest transferred across. Hence wanting compatible mounts/inserts all over. Could customers have a tall stem fitted, a battery...

Wisper We've bundled eBike security and I think we are the first!

It's certainly a think twice investment but a massive plus not to have to accept an insurer's replacement. @Wisper Thanks for stepping up, I really hope you can reach some arrangement. <Blue sky> If only the brands claiming fire safety would offer to open source their BMS designs "to save...

Converting from Swytch to standard equipment

Does £260 include delivery? The Yosepower.co.uk site isn't listing a 36V20Ah and the .com site says it can't deliver to my address near yours. Website glitch or favouritism? :) Ebay shows 3.5kg for 20Ah vs Yose 5kg for 17.4Ah, and for 20Ah 4.2kg, not wildly different if ebay's wrong and it...

Converting from Swytch to standard equipment

If 'the Swytch' is a folding bike the 17.4Ah is NMC, the one RtJ linked to will be a lot lighter as well as from an established source.

What do you think of my new bike?

Holes with plastic plugs or threaded inserts, are they costly to have fitted? E.g. for water bottle, second battery & cable, front light, HD rack, headstock rack, frame lock, torque arm. They'd turn a warranty-busting hack into an assembly step.
