Woosh Sirocco 2 review - who?

It did prompt me to get my lazy backside on a couple of lightweight road bikes ... very fast and easy to ride but I do tend to take everything but the kitchen sink around with me so striving for sub-10kg on a bike and then wanting to plonk another 10kg of stuff on it to be able to do anything...

    Cyclamatic Bargain Alert

You can go in and update your bank card details after registering and nominate all/any of the ones you use. Quidco is decent on the whole. Just make sure you clear coookies before clicking through to some sites. Got £100 back through them when I took out a mobile phone SIM-only contract with...

    Aurora Alien E-Bike

I can't help with a recommendation for anywhere round your parts unfortunately, but if you wind up stumped, you could have a go at posting some more details up here w/photos if needs be and see if you can fix yourself. There's also a company which will courier your bike up to them for £22.99...

£3K to spend, what would you recommend?

Great find .... probably get something off if you tried too. If I had another £2.5k to throw about I'd be very tempted with that myself (if it was a 29er !). Not so fussed about full sus with a bike like that - but that's the thing I guess - everyone has different priorities.

    Helmets in Aldi

I think the Aldi one is much nicer than a regular "bicycle helmet". ... the Cambridge White Denim definitely looks like it should be doing the rounds on the 3:1 at Newmarket

Found a way to keep my head warm while wearing a helmet

Super Roubaix too ... should be really toasty. Incredible price. If anyone gets one can you put some info up about sizing ? I have a rather small head (no jokes please .... :p) and most one-size stuff which comes down any further than my ears proves to be a tad on the roomy side !

£3K to spend, what would you recommend?

It depends how you ride. The Rohloff gears would simply address some of the shortcomings of most others albeit at a very high price. I doubt barclay would find a ready-built eBike equipped with them in this price range. Would more likely be 2-3 times a £3k top budget or higher. I don't think...

£3K to spend, what would you recommend?

Quick question on the Storck Raddar (hub drive) ... I looked briefly at this when I was considering bikes a few months ago on account of the high-torque motor and smooth progression. However, I was put off partly by the disc brakes (prefer rims although as these carry hydraulic rather than...

    Panasonic crank drive systems

The 2012 BH Panasonic IBS system works via torque sensors rather than speed sensors .. is this like the old style Pro Connect Panasonic system or different again ? It's confusing - haven't read any comparative reports of this BH offering but Panasonic sport assist mode delivers 1:2.1 (top...

    E-motion Neo Xtrem

Thanks GaRRy. Sounds like the Cross would actually do for what I want it for better and this is the one I can test out. Not so fussed about taking an eBike into harsher off-road territory in UK and proper off-roading is only ever an occasional thing with me. The Xtrem is likely to be a 2nd...

    E-motion Neo Xtrem

Thanks. Also, I see you have both a Cross and an Extrem. Do they perform pretty much the same as far as the power and ride are concerned ? The motor and system look identical.

    E-motion Neo Xtrem

Hopefully get out and test one next week. Is this bike definitely EN15194 certified ? Just a question on the Neo technology too - there is a boost setting delivering 3:1 assistance on the description of the technology on BH's website. Is this boost setting in use on UK models ? I'm not sure...
