    Insult to Democracy

I don't know why, there was certainly an appetite for a referendum. Don't you think people should be allowed a democratic choice? I was quite prepared to accept an in vote if it happened and I said so before a single vote had been cast. Why can't people accept democracy?

    Insult to Democracy

This is typical of left wing politics. They are the most dangerous people on the planet, thinking that their minority ideals are above democracy. If you notice, it is the left wing groups who turn to violence when things don't go their way. I am not aware of any UKIP activists demonstrating...

They have it too good here to leave and they know it. Those that go, just go. Those that stay are always saying they are going. This works in all walks of life. The doers do, the sayers don't.

I've not listened to your link, but I may have heard the same programme on Radio 4 as I was driving to the shops. I got fed up with hearing all the , we get its and we need to listen mores, but I did hear Ken Clarke make a very good point about refugees. Basically nothing will or can change...

Well that's not going to happen. What if the vote went the other way, have another referendum? Then another? One more for good luck. The nation has spoken in a democratic exercise where each vote counts. The result is that the UK will be leaving the EU. Remain, along with the Scottish part of...

I'm sorry to hear that. It's disgraceful. I heard Corbyn at his conference this morning. I like quite a lot about this man, in particular his stance on workers rights and fairness of wealth distribution. I don't trust the rest of his party though, they seem to think that fairness of wealth...

I'm not suggesting that JCB doesn't have a factory outside the UK, but I fly over the UK sites on a daily basis. They are massive and the yards are constantly full of constantly changing machinery produced there and being exported. Agree re Dyson though. I don't like him and his move to China...

The pound will strengthen again soon. The EU is has lost a cash cow and when the economies of Portugal, Spain Greece and a few others crash, which they will, so will the Euro and the pound will strengthen. The Euro pound to Euro exchange rate closed higher yesterday than it was only 2 or 3 years...

I'm still shocked that the w@nker$ in the financial sector seem to have bet the house on the advice of Foxy from FoxyBingo and his buddy BetFred. Or maybe I'm not shocked at all.

Yes, I do care about our friends within the EU. This exit, as far as I am concerned, has never been about hostility, it's about the UK having greater flexibility in the world. I mentioned the state of other countries stock market, and the recovery of ours to illustrate that things are not as bad...

I see that the stock markets of the other major EU countries are hurting a lot more than ours. UK has closed higher than it was at the start of the week. 3% down on the day. Some EU countries are down 7%. The pound has recovered a bit too.

I think you may have misunderstood me derf, I was referring to the EU grinning at us, the U.K., after we threw a punch at them yesterday. Agreed re lavatories for the Welsh. I think there have been a few strong arm tactics used though, Barack's threats and a few others from within the EU making...

I wonder how many people feel like they have just thrown their hardest & best punch at the big guy, but he's still standing and now has a menacing grin on his face? I bet there are a few. I'm still happy with my vote, but I've always thought that the EU leaders will try and crush a similar...

I have just read the article which you linked to in The Guardian. It makes some interesting points and brings home some of the uncertainty we all now face. I was particularly drawn to a statement made by Martin Schultz who is quoted as saying, "the EU is the world’s biggest single market and...
