    Brexit, for once some facts.

Not constantly talking down the UK and obsessively seeking out any negative, no matter how tenuous, would be a good start. As for a scrappage scheme? I can think of a few candidates.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

A few months ago, it cost a foreign company invested in the UK $15 - $16 to pay a British worker earning £10 per hour for for one hours labour. Today it costs about $13. Since staff costs make up a significant proportion of many business' operating overheads, this surely makes the UK a more...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Perhaps if you cross all of your fingers and toes and you wish for it to happen with enough vigour, maybe they will cut back in the UK and make British workers redundant. You will then be able to puff out your chest, look down you nose at the snivelling BREXITers and say, I told you so. Wouldn't...

    The new best headlight

Proper brackets do exist which clamp the light nicely onto the handlebars and prevent the beam aim being nudged off target. I bought mine of ebay years ago. At the time they made nice anodised aluminium ones on different colours. They cost more than this light, but worth it I think.

Ongoing reliability of Kalkhoff/Focus Impulse 2 motors

Get a second hand Kalkhoff with the Panasonic motor. You will pick up a good one for around £300. It might need a new battery, but you will still be well under £1000 total spend. Mine has done over 20000 miles. These old bikes still look as good as the newer ones and they are virtually...

    Brexit speed question.

If we can keep all of the freedoms of use that we currently enjoy with a 15 mph limit, then yes, faster would be good. If higher speed comes with more restrictions, as in Germany, insurance, number plate, compulsory helmet, no use of cycle paths, then no, I would rather stay as we are.

I saw them a few moments ago heading in the direction of the dining car.....

Ongoing reliability of Kalkhoff/Focus Impulse 2 motors

The ridiculous thing is that Kalkhoff were making better and more reliable EBikes 9 years ago. The proper solution here is a full refund. These things that they are selling today are not fit for purpose and should be withdrawn.

Is making a horse dance really an Olympic Sport?

But London is the capital city and it seems logical to hold celebrations of this type in the capital.

Is making a horse dance really an Olympic Sport?

I'm not sure what's going on with the team GB homecoming. It seems a bit strange to be hosting it in Manchester, I think that London is the place for this type of event.

Is making a horse dance really an Olympic Sport?

I'm not so sure. In some of the more technical sports like the track cycling, money can give a helping hand towards success. In the true man / woman v the clock, the true measure of the athlete, the poorer countries can shine.

Never work for a company with a Human Resources Department. A Personnel Department is OK, but never Human Resources.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It's the curse of having an iPhone in your pocket. It's too easy to take a quick look at the forum and dictate a message inbetween doing other things.

No, it does not in anyway explain your accusation that I am telling immigrants to sod off (leave the UK).

Sorry, that's me, I take responsibility for the bad language and by-passing the filter. Agree regarding unacceptable language. It's no excuse but unjustified accusations of racism anger me.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No, I wasn't saying get lost I said that I thought you now lived in France, not go to France or anything like that. Again, here is my reason for thinking you lived in France: These are your words not mine. derf, you have been proven to be a liar and trouble maker. Your gutter level morality...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

By quoting the above, it appears to me that you are taking my words,"I thought you resided in the land of garlic and cheese" to mean sod off to France. You have provided no other evidence to support you accusation that I am telling immigrants to get lost. On 23 July you posted the following in...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You see, all you know is what it was like in the past. You, me, ktm & old groaner, we don't know for sure which is best, in or out. All we can do is choose what we as an individual think is best. Anyway, why are you bothered, I thought you were now residing in the land of garlic and cheese.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I have as much an idea about where we are going to land as you have about where the EU train is taking us to. You may think you know the answers, but you don't, you do not have any clue. You may insinuate that the jumpers are poorly educated, ill informed racists, but you will be wrong about...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I view the EU as being a train heading at full speed into a cliff face. When it hits, there is going to be an almighty bang the likes of which many of us have never seen before with multiple casualties many of which will be fatal. This metaphoric bang is the collapse of the Euro when the basket...
