Te owners are the moderators and generally Russ & Helen let the forum flow. One can use the report button to report issues if you feel snow flaky. In the last few years we did have one objectionable user north of the boarder who was outright offensive/abusive with his language on the forum to a...

Carrera Vengance v36 speed hack (HELP)

From the pics there's nothing there to disconnect to make you go faster . Any restriction is in the display settings .

    bike mirrors

From the mirror position one will get a nice view of the upper thigh and lower torso, as you know typically on bikes mirrors need to be on stalks so any view isn't interferred by arm positioning or they have to be placed wider out of leg arm range to show a decent longer rear view. No use...

    bike mirrors

They show a nice view of behind when no one is on the bike. Typical marketing rubbish , that most will over look.

Help! PSW conversion kit on Carrera Subway 2?

Front suspension became all the rage with MTB's and off road use, they simply aren't needed on roads or local car free cycle routes . They add unnecassary weight and are imv a fad that aren't really needed for the op's intended usage. Which ever system one plumps for just make sure it isn't a...

Help! PSW conversion kit on Carrera Subway 2?

The PSWP kit has the nice KT control system so that is a big plus , one can usuallly pootle around with assist level 1 on flat terrain or maybe 2 if not as fit. The other three assists are ideal for inclines and steeper hills where thye deliver more power of 33%, 50% & 100%. Generally most poo...

Aikema 250W hub motor opening problem

I think it was my BPM that didn't have a fully contained sealed clutch , one side had three springs and seperate balls acting as the clutch sprag latch.

Motor cutting out when under strain

Yep you did , I likely stopped reading the earlier posts as we have lenny al bot spamming the whole forum with nothing but paste and cut links and film clips. None of these posts add any meaniful use to a thread and I soon get turned off reading much.

    How unique are the keys

Jiggler keys would likely quite easily open these locks but one would think you are pretty safe for a pub lunch/pint or three in the country side.

    New controller required

It may be possible to get some PAS Hall voltage readings via the controller pins outs TA1 & TA2 at the pcb block connector against GND to see if one is faulty. But yes it is not a commonly use Hall set up and one reason to stay away from even certain hub type bikes that use non std parts.

Help! new Swytch kit on folding bike....wrong dimensions for wheel axle?

The brompton washers may fit a brommy fork but other forks may not have the drop out depth for the tab to sit in , so one would have to deepen them to accept the tab. Without seeing any said fork one may have to remove 4 or 5mm of material for the washer tab to sit in as the tab washers look...

Help! new Swytch kit on folding bike....wrong dimensions for wheel axle?

For 100mm forks spacing/drop outs then the Bafang G370 is ideal but would need steel forks , it isn't a cheap hub but is very well engineered and my one has given no issue in my Roadrat build. The G370 has a 10mm dia axle and the axle flats are only on the inbound side of the axles so align...

Motor cutting out when under strain

Shame you never mentioned the cyclotricity connection in the first place , as they use custom firmware for the displays /controllers. We have seen this before and folks forget to mention the cyclotricity involvement. Kt stuff is all pretty much universal except when some use the custom stuff...

    DAS Kit C6 fault

As always when something has been changed and doesn't then work , then there is always a logical answer behind it when the full facts are known. Looking like the new hub then does have a different magnet count to the exisiting one then. Das kit stuff is usually only oem so explains why the...

    DAS Kit C6 fault

Is the wheel size set correctly in the C6 sub menu ? From what I see via the C7 manual which is identical to the C6 display manual there appears to be no speed magnet input so any speed reading input is dependant on the correct wheel size being selected in the sub menu, calculations are then...

Review Tong Sheng TSDZ2 Owner Survey

I never count chain miles but do rotate chains between cleans , it has been years since I have changed any chain on my bikes. My tsdz Ute is a dry weather bike as it is my apiary kit towing bike, I very rarely visit the bees when wet .
