    Wisper Police bike image

True, with 500W they would have to arrest themselves for riding a illegal vehicle :D Seriously though I think 250W motors would still be legal in this country (aren't they the same as a "civillian" Wisper?) and the 500W is intended for foreign police forces which were also a planned market -...

    Wisper Police bike image

those (and sirens!) are readily available as aftermarket items for a variety of bikes - any website of emergency service kit and supplies usually has them. They aren't cheap though, costing several hundred pounds.... I wonder how long before a Wisper features on "Road Wars?"

New to this! Battery question - Windsor Powacycle

the LED which changes colour is on the charger, not the battery assembly. Try this 1. remove the battery from the bike and turn it off at the keyswitch 2. plug in the small circular charger plug 3. place the charger in a position where you can see the LED (it is hard to notice when not...

I'm beginning to hate (some) cyclists

I once described the ingredients of "pot belge" to some ravers and even they were shocked... Pot Belge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm beginning to hate (some) cyclists

interestingly I've always had a friendly response from cyclists across Ipswich and Mid Suffolk - both on my normal hybrid and my ebike. That includes the lycras, who have never commented on it. That said the Salisbury does not make that much motor noise and I usually always ride with panniers...

I'm beginning to hate (some) cyclists

many of the lycra crowd are the type who thrive on competition and conflict -and are sore losers! in the days I used to read cycling weekly (actually only because I got given a load of back copies by a former work colleague) it seemed that real acts of violence (such as fisticuffs at the bit...

    New York Cycle Messengers

what makes me laugh is many of them consider themselves to be "radical political activists" when in fact they are feeding the frontline of the "I NEED IT NOW!" culture of "capitalism on steroids" - risking their own (and others) lives to do so! No better morally than bad drivers "white van...

small NIMH cells and self-discharge rates?

A question about AA cells rather than big'uns for e-bikes... I use 4 x 2300mAH ones for a digital camera, which I keep in my pannier bags when riding. I try and keep this charged at all times in case I see something interesting, but even with the camera switched off I have to charge the cells...

    Redesign of Pedelecs site

TBH I'd preserve this look and feel (or allow users to select from a variety). On one forum I am part of we have a new "skin" but the text is small (to the point of unreadability!) so I gave up on it and switched back to the old version - and I am fairly young! But giving people a choice is...

Have I ruined my Ezee Quando battery?

unfortunately for those of us in the West, the market is driven by its largest customer sector; which appears to be in South China and SE Asia. I think it was your good self who pointed out that Sealed Lead Acid batteries fare even worse in the tropical weather conditions found in this part of...

A place where you can try lots of differnet bikes

all at sea dunno if this happens for anyone else but clicking on that map initially shows it in the middle of the Indian Ocean centred around South / SE Asia.... maybe the settings have drifted...
