Rain still getting in even tho ive plugged both cable entries! A rear mudguard like this would stop rain being directed over the frame to the bottom of the battery pad and into the controller housing.

Zoom in and you'll see the Dahon pattern hinge and latch just in front of the frame arch over the motor. Does the motor brace the frame when it's bolted in, coz it seems possible flex there, arching over it? Tho i expect they beef the frame up to compensate, more alloy:cool:

And Dahons have their "landing gear", a sprung wheel that bolts under the bottom bracket, on recent models.

Woosh recently suggested filling the end of the motor axle with grease and covering it with Teflon tape, i must try that for waterproofing the hub connection.
