Started to paint all area subject to rust:
Any idea how to have a smoother paint? There are a lot of paint brush mark on it.. I suppose it needs sanding...
Wondering if I shall also paint the chainset and the chain so no more rust?
Thanks Scimitar.
Also, I didn't know the spoke on the gear side were longer than on the other side. I did a mismatch and had to un-lace the wheel to put everything back in place.
Now it's so much better :)

I discovered the zip tie to true wheel, it really make it easy:

I managed without too much problem to have lateral trueness. But my wheel isn't round at all. I tried to tighten the spokes in areas not round but doesn't seem to make any...
I'm working on the rear wheel now. I managed to replace the damaged rim with a new one. It wasn't too bad.
For some reason, I discovered a bike shop in paris and wanted to cycle there in order to see what they can do for me.
Big mistake, cycling without truing the wheel before hand has created...
I'm not sure if it's going to be easy as you have a BMS in your current battery.
What you can do is either:
- Replace the current BMS by a 48V one. Then re-solder your pack to increase voltage. It's going to be long and difficult. Especially if you start.
- Sell your current battery and buy...
So you tried them all and they are no better than you dual cute?
I was thinking because it's more efficient in acceleration it should be more efficient in general. 25mph max speed should be enough
Ahah, 3 motor to a bike, isn't it too much??
Do you also have 3 controller??
come on, it's adding too much weight to the bike Dave. At this point you can add a single mid-monster motor at 93% efficiency. lol
Who is this colin providing additional 349mm rims?
Be careful with your setup, you have probably an additional 8 kg all on the front of your bike. The hinge does not bear that well all this additional weight and may bend slightly over time.
It happened to my brompton and my heavy battery pack...
I asked them about the friction drive last year for my brompton. Their one is too big and not made to fit in the brompton triangle.
It's of course possible to customize it to have it work (that's what they recommended me) but it requires a fair bit of DIY to have it working on the Brompton.
Thanks Jerry. I use wd40 for most or my cleaning but on rust it doesn't seem to work too well.
I was thinking to lubricate with my teflon spray, is it not good? I'm hoping not to have to buy too many new spray lol
Will definitely have to put something to protect others area of the bike when...
Will do Jerry. Looks like you've been through it many many times ;)
I've always found it very difficult to clean rust, it tends to stay and never leave away....
I am only using soap for now but I was wondering if there are any other product I can use? Something like the rust removal liquid I...
hmm.. looks annoying. For sure I'm not going to change the rear frame lol
Do I need to buy a new chain? I don't pedal much anyway  I only do it when I have no choice (battery down or cops in the way). And this rusty chain keeps thieves away lol
To repaint, do I have to remove the current...
While I'm waiting for my 1010B charger to arrive, and my butane solder kit to arrive, I'm going to clean the brompton :)
Here are the tools I have to do a proper maintenance:
I'm going to start with the rear part of my bike:
As you can see, a bit of paint has been removed from the area with...
